942 de Dougalls para #beersaturday (Esp-Eng)

Para el #beersaturday de esta semana os traigo una cerveza más de Dougalls. Una cervecera de la que he hablado en numerosas ocasiones y que nunca falta en mi despensa. Su calidad, excelente interpretación de estilos y insuperable relación calidad precio la hacen una fija en mi nevera.

Desde sus nuevas y remozadas instalaciones de Liérganes (Cantabria) siguen estando presentes en tiendas y bares Españoles, siendo la exportación al extranjero su cuenta pendiente. La inclusión de las latas de 33 y 44 cl en su repertorio sustituyendo a los clásicos botellines de 33cl, ha sido un acierto. Así como la posibilidad de visitar su fábrica y poder degustar sus cervezas acompañadas de una buena comida. Muy recomendable si caes por la zona.

La 942, es ya todo un clásico, esta cerveza que recibe su nombre por el prefijo telefónico de la provincia, no ha cambiado con el paso de los años. Es una APA (American Pale Ale) de libro. Muy fácil de beber. Con el lúpulo muy presente. 4.2 º llenos de sabor y 45 IBU de amargor. Los lúpulos Simcoe y Cascade son los protagonistas absolutos aportando mucho sabor cítrico sobre todo y algo de fruta de hueso. Su final es una obra de arte, seco y equilibrado.

Como curiosidad es una cerveza sin gluten y apta para veganos.

For this week's #beersaturday, I'm bringing you another beer from Dougalls. A brewery I've talked about on numerous occasions and is always in my pantry. Its quality, excellent interpretation of styles, and unbeatable value make it a staple in my fridge.

From their new and renovated facilities in Liérganes (Cantabria), they continue to be present in Spanish stores and bars, with exports abroad still a priority. The inclusion of 33cl and 44cl cans in their repertoire, replacing the classic 33cl bottles, has been a success. As has the opportunity to visit their brewery and taste their beers accompanied by a good meal. Highly recommended if you're in the area.

942, already a classic, is this beer, named after the province's telephone code. It hasn't changed over the years. It's a textbook APA (American Pale Ale). Very easy to drink. Hops are very present. 4.2º full of flavor and 45 IBUs of bitterness. The Simcoe and Cascade hops are the absolute protagonists, providing a strong citrus flavor and some stone fruit notes. The finish is a work of art, dry and balanced.

As a curiosity, this beer is gluten-free and suitable for vegans.
