Vacation Plans- LOH #187

All my life in this my country called Ghana, I have never heard anything like anyone going for vacation. The vacation we know of is simply students vacating from school and coming home. Even with that, the probability of they attending extra classes is really high so in the long run, no rest. Those that were lucky were asked to go for vacation at their aunt’s or uncle’s houses and then when they returned to school that’s when you’ll hear stories upon stories.

As a Ghanaian, the term summer vacation even sounds fancy to me. There’s nothing like that here. Actually, there’s only three seasons. here;Wet season, dry season and harmattan season. In fact we barely count the harmattan season because it’s very short.
There’s nothing like summer or winter or any of those seasons. Even with the wet season, the sun is always on. It could be raining and the sun will also be out. You can go for vacation anytime of the year and the weather will not be a problem.

If I’m being honest, I have no where to go. I have never been on a proper vacation so just like I’ve been doing every year, I’ll probably just stay at home all the time and then crochet so many projects. I have a list of crochet projects that I want to complete so maybe that’s what my “summer” will be about. I have quite a number of people that I would like to crochet for and somethings to recreate, like the hive hair scarf I made. Also, on days that I cannot bear the heat from the sun, I might pass by the beach and release stress.

I know it’s quite a boring routine but anything might happen for me to change my mind. Who knows, I might get an invite from someone to have a vacation at their vacation home or be on a yacht in Dubai.(imagination wants to finish me). Anyway, that’s all for my “summer”.
