Guinness on Saturday

It's Saturday again and these pints of Guinness are from last week after the Halloween Mácnas Parade in Galway.

After enjoying the parade with my wife and kids, I met up with some friends for a few pints and my wife brought the kids home for bed. Here are some photos from the parade.

We had a fair few pints and the pints started looking like this after a while!

It was not a late one. We met up at 6:30pm and were home by around 11pm. Those are the perfect sessions for me. In early, home early.

You'll have to try a pint next time you see it. Is it popular in America? Or is it just available in Irish bars?

Yeah, it is pretty popular here. I mostly go for local stuff versus the big name breweries. Except Yunengling and Linenkugel.

Except Yunengling and Linenkugel.

I haven't heard of either of those actually!

The first is the oldest brewery in the US. They make an amazing Black and Tan. The other is a major brewery over in Wisconsin that has a huge line of specialty beers.

How is I am today years old when I discover you are in Galway?!? I have a good friend from a little east of that region in Banagher. I want to visit so bad and a shut in with a Guinness on the bill is on my bucket list!

Ya man, I'm Galway born and bred. Although I did live in Dublin and Meath from over 15 years. Banagher is a great spot. You'll definitely get a Guinness lock in down there. Let me know if you do ever make it to Ireland.

Easiest way to explain... My handicap is -14. Rory McIlroy is +7

McIlroy would have had to play his round in 66 to equal mine, so not too bad relatively speaking

Sharing beer with friends is a complete fun, especially real friends not fake friends
