Embracing the Digital Age: Opportunities and Challenges

I am glad to be back active in blogging and today I would like to write and share with you all about digitalization and how it has impacted our lives both positively and negatively. Okay, just stay tuned and keep reading this post to explore what I got for you!
I would say digitalization brought about civilization in recent world we live in right now. It has transformed the way we live, the way we do things, and how we perceive things as well. Digitalization has brought about so many benefits to humans, however, there are some disadvantages it comes with as well and we need to keep an eye on them. Everything has merits and demerits and so does digitalization, even with how easy it has come to make human lifestyles, it has one way or destroyed us.
I would deliberate on some of these merits and demerits about digitalization and ways we can avoid them. Let’s quickly look at some of the merits of digitalization. First of all, digitalization has come to improve access to information for humans. Humans can now have easy access to information through the internet and at a fast rate compared to those days when we did not have access to these resources. It used to take people several days to have access to vital information but today digitalization has come to make things easier and faster.
Secondly, digitalization has come to enhance productivity. This is because it has come to reduce the workload on many, thereby making work easier and faster. Digitalization has created several easier ways of doing things at a fast rate and in a highly efficient manner as well and this tends to enhance productivity at work.
In addition, digitalization has come to ease connectivity. Through digitalization, we can now connect with friends that stay far away from us and we can equally make friends with people around the globe as well. Digitalization has also created new opportunities for humans through the introduction of remote jobs, freelancing, content creation, and the like.
On the other hand, digitalization can also serve as a tool of destruction to jobs. This is because organizations tend to see it as not so important to employ people. After all, they see to it that technology is making things easier for them. For instance, the introduction of AI is now making people think that humans are no longer important at certain workplaces and that AI can take over those jobs.
Another disadvantage of digitalization is it makes people feel lonely. This is because a lot of people have relied on technology to the extent that they don’t even come out of their private lives to have physical interactions with humans anymore. It gradually eats human nature from you and gradually you might even become an alien lol 😂.
There is no doubt that technology has come to change the way of lives of people, but also you need to understand the fact that it came with some negative impacts as well and we should know how to use these technologies so we can stay away from its negative impact. With the air things are going, I’m starting to believe a time will actually come where a whole company will have no human employee. I mean it’s already happening. However, I don’t agree with people that say Ai has made humans irrelevant….na the Ai no who is programming it?😂
