Afritunes week 117. Singing a local praise in Migili, Igbo and Hausa language
Chineke I mela, is an Igbo song that I know way back since I was a kid. I know that it has been sang by different people and it has really blessed alot of people. It also gives people the opportunity of appreciating God for all that he has been doing for us. The only one thing that we own God is to give him that one and only food that he loves eating. That original food is a song from the heart of man who have finally realized that without God he or she can not do anything at all.
MY MOTIVATION TO SING IT TODAY.
One of the things that I love about @afritunes community is that it gives us the chance to showcase our culture through the music that we present. And myself I have always loved to present not just an ordinary African song, but to bring out some of these minority languages that have not been known world wide to make it known. If only I will sing Hausa or an Igbo song, then it won't be new to most people, because of that I will love to bring to the people what they have not known before. Or what they know just a little about it. I believe that it will give us the avenue to appreciate other languages that God has created and also try to learn them.
I met a Migili person last week and I asked him to teach me a song in their language, he taught me this particular song and it gave me joy because I already know the song in Igbo and Hausa language. In that way it was easier for me to Flow with the song because I can sing it in two other languages.
Thanks for paying me a visit. This is my participation for this week.
