The #BeerSaturday Challenge - Week 365

In my city, a free outdoor classical concert sponsored by Porsche is held at this time of year. Why not enjoy drinking beer while listening to live music! So I went out with my family with beer and snacks. When I arrived, I realized that I could buy beer there....

The beer I brought was a charity beer called Quartiermeister*in. The beer is made by a company in Berlin, and they support local social projects with the proceeds from beer sales.

My partner works part time for an organization that supports social entrepreneurs gave me this beer for Beer Saturday because it had expired at his work place.

Unfortunately, I didn't bring my own beer glass, so I can't show you the content, but it was a refreshingly delicious pilsner, perfect for drinking outdoors while listening to music. I've been trained well by participating in Beer Saturday to be able to drink 500ml these days 😉

On the way home, my partner gave me a bottle of Arolser that he couldn't finish. I enjoyed it as well while walking through the park drinking beer. My partner brings it back to me as a souvenir often, so it is becoming my classics of this summer.

Actually, there was another bottle of this charity beer, and it was labeled Red Beer. I can't find a picture of it, but it was reddish brown in color, similar to a sweet beer-like alcohol-free drink called kids' beer or Malzbeer in Germany. It tasted not sweet like kids' beer, but rather black beer-ish. So it maybe for colder seasons at least for me.

It's been so hot recently that beer is no longer something I only enjoy on Saturdays for Beer Saturday, I drink it like water...that's an exaggeration, but I also drink it during the week 😅

At an entrepreneurs' gathering I had this one. I thought I could remember the name by taking a picture of the glass, but I don't think it wasn't called like the name on the glass ... never mind. It was also delicious.

Well, I'm looking forward to seeing what beers I can find next week.

The #BeerSaturday Challenge - Week 365

私が住んでいるドイツの街ライプツィヒではこの時期にアウトドアのクラシックのコンサートが開催されます。これはもうビールを飲むしかないでしょう！ということでビールとおつまみを持って出かけました。着いて気づいたのですが、ビールは現地でも買えました・・・。

持っていったのはQuartiermeister*inというチャリティービールです。ベルリンの会社が作っているビールで、ビールの売り上げで地域の社会的なプロジェクトを支援しているそうです。社会起業家を支援する団体でパートタイムの仕事をしている方が職場で賞味期限が切れていたものをBeer Saturdayにともらってきてくれたのです。

ビアグラスはさすがに持ってこず、残念ながら中身をお見せできないのですが、すっきりおいしいピルスナーで屋外で音楽を聞きながら飲むのにぴったりでした。Beer Saturdayで鍛えられて500mlをこのところスルッと飲めてしまうのが怖いです😂

帰り道には相方が飲みきれなかったArolserをもらって、ビールを飲みながら公園を通って帰りました。相方の常宿でもらえるビールで、お土産に持って帰ってきてくれるので、我が家というか私のこの夏の定番になりつつあります。

実はこのチャリティービールはもう一本あって、赤ビールと書いてありました。写真が見当たらないのですが、ドイツで子供ビールと呼ばれる甘いビールのようなアルコールフリーの飲み物と似た赤茶色をしていました。お味は甘くなく、でも、この季節とはちょっと違うかも。

このところ暑くて、ビールはもはや土曜日にだけ楽しむものではなくなり、水のように飲んでいます・・・というのは言い過ぎですが、平日にも飲んでます😂 起業家の集まりで飲んだこちらもおいしゅうございました。グラスの写真を撮っておけば名前を覚えていられるだろうと思いきや、この名前でなかったような・・・
