Event Recap: Not Bad, for a Small Local Show!

So, this past weekend we participated in a local Mystic psychic and healing arts fair.

You can never be too sure what will end up being the result of one of these very small events that's held by a small local organization in a relatively small town, but one thing they generally have in common is that the vendor fees are very reasonable.

In this case it just cost $50.00 to set up a double table for a 2 day period.

Now that we have gotten home and unpacked and had a chance to review how things went I have to say it was not a bad event!

Even though it was not attended by a great number of people, I made several quite good sales... and unlike most of the local Arts & Crafts events we have attended, the selling "profile" was not totally dominated by under-$10 stuff.

I actually made one $375 sale, something I'd normally only hope for during one of our large holiday events!

As an overall show result I would have to declare that it was definitely a success!

Now I get to sort everything out, take inventory, and then go about making a list of the things we need before we head to Oregon in the middle of July. Without a doubt, I need to be actively painting for a while because we did sell out of quite a few things and some of the stock is running pretty low.

All in all, however, it was quite rewarding to be able to sell some of my "better" things!

Meanwhile, the actual video/TV version of the podcast we were interviewed for several months ago is about to air and I'm hopeful that this will also help bring a little more awareness, along with a few online sales.

Accordingly, I do need to spend the next couple of days making sure my websites and online marketplaces are completely up to date so that any traffic that results from the TV broadcast will find only current information.

Sometimes I really do understand why the more successful creative people are the ones who can dedicate full time to whatever it is they're doing, rather than just working on their art as a sideline while they have a full time job doing something else.

This stuff takes a lot of time and energy to keep up with!

I appreciate you coming to visit and please do leave a comment if you feel so inclined!

Thank You!
