The 100 Day Project — A Final Benchmarking Post Before I Start!
As I mentioned in yesterday's post, I'm not about to endeavor on anything as long and involved as #the100dayproject without having a very clear sense of where I started, so I can get a very clear picture of how much doing this — and hopefully completing it, as well — actually helped.
So, this post is basically to establish where the starting line is... and is perhaps as much for my own benefit as anything.

The Creative Part
Well, since I have not yet been very active — creatively speaking — in 2024, I'm going to mark the starting point for the Project with the stone serial number AS24-010. Since I mark all my stones with sequential numbers on the back, keeping track should be pretty easy.
Everything I paint from this point forward will be considered to be "part of the project."
The Social Media/Promotional Part
Here I am just baselining the starting points for the various social media accounts that will be part of The 100 Day Project. This is really what I am most hoping to develop:
Twitter/X:

Daily visitors (est): About 1 — 33 in the past month.

And that about does it for the basic social media accounts. Of course, there's also Hive, but since everything is going to be tracked here, it seems a bit ambiguous to include it.
The Sales Venues Part
I wasn't really looking to include this in the stats/benchmarking, but since part of the objective here is to sell more art, I decided to add these as a quick footnote.
Etsy: At 2/19/24 — 203 active listings.
eBay: At 2/19/24 — 100 active listings.
Amazon Handmade: At 2/19/24 — 24 active listings.
HiveList: At 2/19/24 — store is still in set-up mode.
And that about covers the basics.
Naturally, I'm also hoping to expand my horizons and reach here on Hive, but I don't really want to count that as part of the original Project plan. Which isn't to say that I'm not appreciative of building a presence here!
I appreciate you coming to visit and please do leave a comment if you feel so inclined!
Thank You!

Because I am trying to make some semblance of income — a part time living, even — I now add this footer to all my posts, in the hope that someone, somewhere, might decide to take a further look at my work, and perhaps consider supporting independent art.
Thank you, in advance, for your consideration and support!
