The 100-Day Project, Day 34 - Another Houseguest Challenge!
Day 34 of the 100-Day Project marks where we embark on the "second third" of this endeavor.
The view from my creative workspace, earlier this evening!
And it was a challenge, again. Having already established that I am "borrowing time" to even do this challenge, today I lost even more time because we ended up with unexpected houseguests... the daughter and boyfriend of a good friend of my wife's suddenly asked if they could come by and spend the night.
Of course, we're likely too good natured for our own good, so we said yes... and there a creative day pretty much went down the drain!
But... life is life, and you end up doing what seems like the right thing to do.
Today's creativity was limited to a single stone for the Retreat Project
Day 34 Stone Painting:
Today's painting efforts were rather limited, although I did manage to finish another stone for the by now "famous" retreat stones order.
I managed to paint this stone in between waiting for chicken to finish baking in the oven and a pots of water to finish boiling.
Pretty modest, I know... but at least it was something!
Day 34 Summary and Social Media Bits:
Finished one new stone today: Continuing to work on the large order for the women's retreat, adding one more for this... 11-of-30 now completed.
Daily Twitter/X post: Check. Another "nature inspires* post.
Daily Facebook Page post: Fail. Out of time/got too late.
Daily Instagram post: Fail. Same as above.
Other Stuff: As usual, this Hive post; did buy some more finish lacquer while on my supermarket trip, this afternoon. Daily shoutout to @gillianpearce!
Day 34 completed; the weekend ended on a very modest note with unexpected house guests. We seem to have become a sort of "safe house" for a lot of 20-somethings with awkward lives. I suppose that's a good thing, in some ways...
I appreciate you coming to visit and please do leave a comment if you feel so inclined!
Thank You!

Because I am trying to make some semblance of income — a part time living, even — I now add this footer to all my posts, in the hope that someone, somewhere, might decide to take a further look at my work, and perhaps consider supporting independent art.

Congrats on getting another stone done despite unexpected interruptions. I hope you're able to enjoy the process of the painting even though you have less time than you'd like.
