The 100-Day Project, Day 53 — Weekend Visitor and a Nice Sale!

Day 53 of the 100-Day Project has arrived, and our son has also arrived from Seattle so this weekend will be a little more about family time than about creativity. That's OK, really... feel like I am in a pretty good place.

Knowing that he was going to be here, I spent a little time early in the day with the painting part of the challenge.

As a piece of positive news, an acquaintance of my wife's picked out a set of Chakra Stones from my pictures online... thankfully, it was something I still had available. Not exactly a sale from one of my online shops, but still a sale — $149.50, very welcome!

Day 53 Stone Painting:

Today's stone painting was done early in the day, which was actually OK by me, given that I had a lot to get done today.

And so today's creative output began with the 29th of 30 stones for the retreatstone project period

Almost done with the Retreat Stone project!

It feels good to almost be done with this!

Then I moved on to painting some more of those small stones have been starting up on. We have to pretty much build a stock from scratch with those, and I'd like to have 30 of them ready for the show.

Today I added another three.

Three more for the "small stone" bags

Then, for no particular reason, I decided to get started on a stone I'm calling "The Egg" for very obvious reasons... and which has been sitting on my work table for more than a year. It's a very strange stone in that it is very smooth, and it is roughly shaped like an egg and it has a completely flat bottom from nature's side so it actually sets up like an egg!

Not sure where things are going to end up with this one, but here's how far I've gotten so far.

This will be very interesting, once it is done!

This kind of shape is super difficult to paint because I can't actually touch any parts that have already been painted because the design will smear. Navigating the bottom half will be tricky!

Day 53 Summary and Social Media Bits:

Surprisingly good day: finished another Retreat Stone, and an additional three smaller stones, and got started on something I've been pondering for more than a year. Meanwhile, made a more detailed list of what I would like to get done over the next few weeks. It's "wishful thinking," but at least it's down on paper.

Other Stuff: As usual, this Hive post; good creative output, nice to get an actual order; Daily shoutout to @gillianpearce!

Day 53 completed; another day to be grateful for. I probably should be mowing our very hairy lawn, but so it goes. Enjoying the creative life!

I appreciate you coming to visit and please do leave a comment if you feel so inclined!

Thank You!
