The 100-Day Project, Day 59 — Back Again, After a Brief Hiatus!
So, there were no Day 57 and Day 58 posts in the challenge, because I simply found myself too overwhelmed and tired by life to make time for creative endeavors.
I am now back with what effectively is Day 59... and my "missed days" total has now risen to four.
Sometimes less is more; not all stones are large or impressive!
I'm not interested in beating myself up over that! When I started on this endeavor, I was well aware that it would be very unlikely that I actually complete the challenge with all 100 days completed. I simply don't live the sort of life that has any particular routine to it, so I can't "promise" to set specific time slots aside every day... because I might be 100 miles away!
So, let's see... what has happened?
The redesigned postcards for shows arrived today, much faster than expected — thank you Vista Print!
New postcards!
They look quite nice, too. We deliberately left the back blank so we can print event-specific messages directly on the cards.
Meanwhile, out events bookings are filling in a bit more. We now have May 3-4 at the Ocean Shores event, we're penciled in for a local "Mystic Fair" on June 21-22, and then we have July 18-22 at the festival near Salem, Oregon.
So those are promising steps forward!
Freshly painted in the evening sun!
Day 59 Stone Painting:
Trying to get back on track here, although sunny days mean the garden has been calling somewhat loudly.
Regardless, we have events ahead! And so, I am continuing to paint some of our small stones to be pre-bagged and set out in a basket as impulse items. One is pictured up above, and below.
Another smaller stone
Creativity has always been a very unpredictable thing for me. I find it very challenged to create something when I'm not in the right frame of mind. On the other hand, when I am in the right frame of mind I can create an awful lot in a short time!
And another!
Day 59 Summary and Social Media Bits:
It turned out to be a decent day today: painted three more of the small stones and got back on track with the social media bits.
Daily Twitter/X post: Check. A general consciousness/social media post.
Daily Facebook Page post: Check. Basic stone painting update.
Daily Instagram post: Check. Sharing a single stone post.
Other Stuff: As usual, this Hive post; three smaller stones completed; Daily shoutout to @gillianpearce!
Day 59 completed; well, it was a day and I got back on track. I expect the social media is generating some awareness, but what will it lead to? Ultimately, the underlying idea is to be driving traffic to my online shops... but that's not really happening, as of yet.
I appreciate you coming to visit and please do leave a comment if you feel so inclined!
Thank You!
