This is my contribution to #FungiFriday by @ewkaw. On today's edition of Fungifriday, October 13 2023, I again want to share some beautiful & interesting mushrooms that I photographed a few days ago in the areca nut plantation area.

The first fungus is the Grigit fungus (Indonesia) or in Latin terms it is called the Schizophyllum commune fungus. Among the several types of mushrooms that can be eaten, this mushroom is one of them. It's just that the texture is a bit hard but it still has a delicious taste.

Interestingly, I found this Schizophyllum commune fungus growing on areca nuts, something I rarely see because previously I usually found this fungus growing on wood, palm oil fronds or other types of wood.

Then the second fungus is the Lichenomphalia umbellifera fungus, I found this fungus growing on rotten areca nut fronds. This yellowish brown mushroom is a mushroom from the Hygrophoraceae family which also has very beautiful gills in my opinion. And I have uploaded some of the photos below:

I love your photographs, the editions look very beautiful dear friend @alexa-macro
You can't believe the surface that this beautiful mushroom chose to develop. Its shape and texture caught my attention. The other varieties are also beautiful, but these caught my interest more.
Have a wonderful weekend
