Weekend-Engagement WEEK #167: Housework at home

Hello friend hiver and the Weekend Experiences Community I hope you are having a successful weekend.

Our friend @galenkp this weekend gets us into reflective mode, but this time about chores around the house.

For my part I can say that I like to help with the chores to keep the house clean and in order. In the apartment I live alone with my girlfriend, so it's up to us to maintain order, from cleaning bathrooms, living room, bedrooms to making the daily cooking plans.

One of the activities that I like the most is to cook for myself as well as for my guests, I have no problems in preparing the food, yes, I apply the rule of the one who cooks does not wash the dishes, it is one of the most annoying things for me, but as they say, when it's time to do it, it's time to do it.

Other things I do almost spontaneously and automatically is sweeping and rearranging the room. These are habits that were left over from when I lived alone at the university. These activities are usually done almost every 5 days. I always collaborate as much as I can.

But without lying sometimes if it happens that I have to send me to do certain activities because I overlook it or just give him time to not do it. One of them is cleaning the bathroom, I hate deep cleaning the bathroom, sometimes I think about paying for a person to do it, but I also think that the money saved is useful for something else, like going out to eat something or a few beers hahahah.

Still I always end up doing the work, other things I hate is washing the fridge, it creates a lot of frost and it is annoying the defrosting issue because it leaks a lot of water, but they are jobs that have to be done obligatorily.

There are times when I have to iron, but we have adopted the routine that everyone irons their own clothes, so it works better for me, because the only clothes I iron are gala or party clothes. I can go out without worrying if I have a wrinkle in my flannel every day.

I don't really have any technique to divert, skip, ignore the housework, because my girlfriend has the last word, hahaha and I end up doing the things she tells me when it's time to work around the house, so I avoid problems.
