It is exciting every week to think of different strategies according to a type of battle rule that challenge us to be able to think of the best way to think of new strategies that allow us to use that restriction in our favor and turn it into the reason for our victory.

COMBAT RULES

This week's The Keep Your Distance rule restricts the use of monsters with melee attack.

Therefore this only allows the use of cards with ranged attack and cards with magic.

BATTLE CONDITIONS

Here, apart from the rule of only using monsters with ranged attacks, we must only use cards with an even mana cost, that is, 0, 2, 4, 6, 8,10, 12, etc.

We also have the restriction of being able to use 19 mana so we must think carefully about the cards to use.

My Team

ALRIC STORMBRINGER

This summoner will allow us to give +1 magic attack, also being level 3 allows us to activate the abilities of our level 2 and higher cards that we will use.

DJINN OSHANNUS

This monster is a good tank that with its 11 health gives it a lot of resistance.

In addition to its VOID ability that reduces magic damage, which by having this combat rule of only using cards with ranged attacks makes it very likely that my opponent will use them.

His PHASE ability gives him the chance to dodge magical attacks which gives him more resistance in this combat rule and having a high speed of 5 allows if the opponent uses cards from a distance he gives him a chance to dodge the attacks.

And his attack of 2 that with the summoner would remain at 3 gives a strong attack that will allow him to eliminate his opponent faster.

RIVERBOAT CAPTAIN

This card, in addition to having a high attack of 2, which with the summoner will be 3, its blast ability will allow it to attack the card in the second row, which will allow it to be eliminated faster after eliminating the first monster.

IGOR DARKSPEAR

This card has a relatively high amount of life for low mana and gives 1 attack that can help in battle.

DEVELOPMENT OF THE BATTLE

Ronda 1

Here my opponent used the DJINN OSHANNUS card but level 1 so it has 10 life and will not have the PHASE ability which gives me a min advantage but my opponent uses the PRISMATIC ENERGY card which has magical reflection which will allow him to return reduced damage from magic attacks dealt to that card.

Ronda 2

In this round my three monsters attack and end up eliminating their DJINN OSHANNUS and my opponent's monsters attack me but my DJINN OSHANNUS manages to dodge PRISMATIC ENERGY's attack so it only leaves it at 6 life.

But since my RIVERBOAT CAPTAIN has managed to do 4 damage to him in the 2 turns due to his blast ability, which leaves him at 5 life, leaving him on a silver platter to be eliminated in the next turn.

Ronda 3

In this round I finally eliminate his PRISMATIC ENERGY's that although due to his magic reflex ability he manages to eliminate my RIVERBOAT CAPTAIN but he fails to eliminate my other 2 monsters.

LAST CONCLUSIONS

Here the key was that the VOID ability that reduced the opponent's magic attack and the PHASE ability allowed me to dodge 1 attack from my opponent which made it more difficult for my opponent to eliminate the first card.

In addition to the BLAST ability of my RIVERBOAT CAPTAIN, it was reducing the life of his PRISMATIC ENERGY's which allowed him to eliminate in just the third round.

Also if we see my attack power was much more than my opponent's that the sum of my power was 7 while my opponent's was only 5 that with his magic reflection ability he aspired to a maximum of 6 adding to what I if I had a chance to dodge his attacks because of PHASE's ability, therefore my opponent had no chance.
