Cards with magic attack are one of the most powerful cards that we can use, but in this case we have a combat rule that makes using these cards not so advantageous since they will do damage when they attack.

RULESET: Counterspell

Description:

All units receive the magic reflect ability at the start of the battle. Enemy units that attack with magic receive damage back.

Damage returned is equal to the damage of the attacker divided by 2, rounded up.

Magic units with the reflection shield ability do not take damage from reflected magic attacks.

The amplify ability increases damage.

BATTLE CONDITIONS

There are some battle conditions that it is very clear how to treat them, such as in this case it is the COUNTERSPELL battle condition that gives all cards the MAGIC REFLECTION ability.

This makes it clear that the use of magic cards is not very advantageous since they will receive damage back when attacking.

However, in this case it is very interesting since it presents us with the WANDS OUT battle condition, which allows us to only use cards with magical attacks, so we have to think about how to survive longer than the opponent with this battle rule.

Another battle rule that imposes another challenge on us is the EARTHQUAKE battle rule, which at the beginning of each turn, starting from the second turn, will do 2 damage to cards without the flight ability, so it will be another element to take into account. to make our alignment.

Additionally, we can only use 13 mana and only one lineup of green cards.

My Team

OBSIDIAN

This summoner will increase the attack power of our cards, which will make it easier for us to eliminate our enemy, but it also increases the possible damage from the MAGIC REFLECTION skill, so we must summon cards with as much life as possible.

REGAL PERYTON

This card has flight so it will not receive damage due to the battle rule EARTHQUAKE so it will be one less problem, it also has 6 life and 5 speed so it will be one of the first to attack and it will also be able to resist several turns for his high life.

UJURAK MYSTIC

This card was one of those that I had to be able to play with the mana that I had left available that had more life (3), it also has a shield of 2 which will protect it from a turn of damage due to the EARTQUAKE battle rule so it will be able to survive one more turn which will be fundamental for my victory as we will see.

DEVELOPMENT OF THE BATTLE

RONDA 1 and 2

In round one neither of them loses any cards.

My enemy attacks with his two cards and leaves my REGAL PERYTON at 1 life, but his MADCAP MAGUS attacks and although he has 1 life but before receiving the damage from MAGIC REFLECTION he increases by 1 life due to his LIFE LEECH ability this one Does not die.

I also attack with my two cards and also leave his REGAL PERYTON at one life and my UJURAK MYSTIC remains at 2 life by dealing 1 damage due to MAGIC REFLECTION.

In round 2 it starts with 2 damage per the EARTH QUAKE battle rule, and here you can see that my enemy made a mistake since his MADCAP MAGUS is eliminated, which does not fly and having only one life does not resist that damage.

While my UJURAK MYSTIC, having 2 shields, does not die since this shield protects its life from damage, leaving it alive for this turn.

Here I manage to attack his REGAL PERYTON and eliminate him but since mine only has 1 life and receives damage from the MAGIC REFLECTION skill that the battle rule gives him, this causes him to also die but unlike my enemy I win by having a second card the UJURAK MYSTIC that survived thanks to the shield it had.

FINAL ANALYSIS

Here we can see a very difficult rule to decide how to survive by having to play precisely with a type of card that has a type of attack that is disadvantageous to use with the COUNTERSPELL battle rule, so here the key is, besides putting a good card life that resisted the attacks and the damage from the MAGIC REFLECTION skill that the battle rule gave, it was fundamental in my victory to have chosen a card that managed to survive more than my enemy's two cards by knowing how to choose it properly, since the other rule of battle EARTHQUAKE although it did not harm either of the two REGAL PERYTON neither mine nor my enemy's, the key was to choose a card that had a shield which in my case was the UJURAK MYSTIC, and thus allowed it to survive my two cards later of the round of damage by the EARTHQUAKE.

Since my enemy's card, MADCAP MAGUS, did not have a shield and was eliminated, so by mutually eliminating both REGAL PERYTON, I won as my UJURAK MYSTIC remained alive.

Here we can see that there are REVELION cards that, when used properly, can be the difference between victory and defeat, so it is good to take a look and if possible buy packs or buy cards on the secondary market.
