Splinterlands Art Contest - Week 273 - Runeseer Sevaya

Hey there, good people. Today I'm here to present you with yet another Splinterlands Art Contest entry. The past week has been especially challenging because of my real-life work pressure and due dates, but I'm glad I've made it to the contest and got the time to submit an entry. So, without further ado, let's jump right into the process...

The Process

The Background

I was sitting on the fence about what kind of background looks best for her. I initially went with a dark reddish color to a bright yellow gradient as you can see below and while the yellowish gold part of the background resonated well with her color scheme, I felt like it was not the best choice for a background - more on that later.

The Result

In the end, I swapped the background entirely for a pink and purple bubbly sort of background with some glitter added to her hair for the fun of it. I'm not sure why, but I feel like it matches her robes pretty well. It might be because she has something similar in her hand in the original pic. (is it a lens? for seeing, hence "Runeseer"? or maybe it's a rune... idk)
