1️⃣ What is the one lesson or knowledge you learned this year that benefitted you as a lady?
This year has been particularly challenging for me. Together with my partner, we faced the loss of our main source of income and were forced to move out. Besides, I dealt with the painful loss of one of my cats.
These circumstances were made even more difficult by being away from my family.
In the process, I have learned valuable lessons that have benefited me as a woman. The first lesson is not to take things for granted; now I understand the importance of having a plan B for any situation. I recognize the need for more than two sources of income and the importance of saving.
I learned that despite the support of my family, I must find the strength within me to comfort and motivate myself. Valuing myself as a woman has become a priority, because I realized that if I don't, it's unlikely that anyone else will. My dedication at work has proven to be fruitful, generating recognition from my bosses and colleagues.
I discovered in Hive a space to share my interests, freeing me from the need to hide what I like and allowing me to connect with people who value the same.
2️⃣ What would you do differently or start doing for yourself next year?
As I write this on the last day of 2023, I pledge to make significant changes in the coming year. I plan to improve the planning of my days and finances, as well as not give up on any projects I undertake.
I recognize the importance of starting a habit of saving, understanding that having financial reserves is crucial.
In addition, I will spend more time taking care of myself, including regular exercise practice, reading, and personal care, such as fixing my nails more often. My main focus for the coming year will be to focus more on myself and my well-being.

1️⃣ ¿Cuál es la lección o conocimiento que aprendiste este año que te benefició como dama?
Este año ha sido particularmente desafiante para mí. Junto con mi pareja, enfrentamos la pérdida de nuestra principal fuente de ingresos y nos vimos obligados a mudarnos de casa. Además, lidié con la dolorosa pérdida de uno de mis gatos. Estas circunstancias se volvieron aún más difíciles al estar lejos de mi familia.
En este proceso, he aprendido valiosas lecciones que me han beneficiado como mujer. La primera lección es no dar por sentadas las cosas; ahora entiendo la importancia de tener un plan B para cualquier situación. Reconozco la necesidad de contar con más de dos fuentes de ingresos y la importancia del ahorro. Aprendí que, a pesar del apoyo de mi familia, debo encontrar la fortaleza dentro de mí para consolarme y motivarme. Valorarme como mujer se ha convertido en una prioridad, ya que comprendí que si no lo hago yo, es poco probable que alguien más lo haga. Mi dedicación en el trabajo ha demostrado ser fructífera, generando reconocimientos de mis jefes y compañeros. Descubrí en Hive un espacio para compartir mis intereses, liberándome de la necesidad de ocultar lo que me gusta y permitiéndome conectar con personas que valoran lo mismo.
2️⃣ ¿Qué harías diferente o empezarías a hacer por ti mismo el próximo año?
Al escribir esto en el último día del 2023, me comprometo a realizar cambios significativos en el próximo año. Planeo mejorar la planificación de mis días y finanzas, así como no rendirme ante cualquier proyecto que emprenda. Reconozco la importancia de iniciar un hábito de ahorro, entendiendo que tener reservas financieras es crucial. Además, dedicaré más tiempo a cuidarme a mí misma, incluyendo la práctica regular de ejercicio, la lectura y el cuidado personal, como arreglar mis uñas con mayor frecuencia. Mi enfoque principal para el próximo año será centrarme más en mí misma y en mi bienestar.

Oh dear! So sorry to you and your partner for the main source of income loss, not many can get past such a setback but I'm glad you learnt from it. Having a plan B should never be underestimated, it saves a lot.

Losing your primary source of income is tough, I'm on an indefinite leave of absence from my regular job with a significantly reduced benefit at this time. I do have Emergency funds set aside but that required early planning, a lot of careful spending, and commitment to building over the years.
I hope you find an alternative income soon @angeladelpi 🙏
