Hello everyone, how do you do? This is your favorite guitarist yea, I am @aowilson exclusive entry for AFRITUNES community week 162. This week I decided to choose a very soothing song for you- Excess love by Mercy Chinwo.
This song reminds me of the love of God that knows no bounds. Sometimes it feels like God is far from us but this song is like a reminder alarm that God's love is eternal.
My choice of this song came from the fact that we are in holy week, this weekend, Easter will be celebrated and as you know, we celebrate the death, burial and resurrection of our king- Jesus Christ. What is the connection? Yes. The bible said "This is true love, that a man lay down his life for his life for his brethren."
The song was coined from 1st Corinthians 13 where the attributes of love were outlined by apostle Paul. Not every love is truly love. Some people profess love where as their hearts is darkened with hatred and bitterness. So say love just with the mouth but the heart says something else. This is not so with the love of God. Excess love!!!
You know guys, personally for me, this goes beyond just give and AFRITUNES community. It is worth celebrating, it is worth reminding and it is worth confessing. The lyrics are very simple to sing.
