Reflection Hunters Contest ~ Spring in our city (9pics)
This is my application for the contest Reflection Hunters Contest ~ Round 212 ๐บ Announcement ๐บ! by @olgavita
If you look at the map, you will see a long distance between Vyatka, my homeland, and Venice - 2891 km (as the crow flies), 3600 km by car. But I can say that sometimes our city is called Venice by residents. This usually happens in summer, after a big rain, the streets turn into rivers, and low places turn into seas. I've witnessed how cars float like they're ships. It was in the area of the Botanical Garden. All residents of the city know this fun place.
Why is this happening? In our city, there is no water drainage system on the streets. Plus, there are high curbs and the roadway becomes a trough that does not release water. But I must admit that everything has changed, and I saw that holes were made at the curbs in the Botanical Garden area to drain water from the roadway.
In spring, a sharp increase in air temperature leads to a rapid melting of snow and the city turns back into Venice.
Sometimes at such moments, you can see wooden pallets on the streets as sidewalks so that you can cross over large accumulations of water. Does this happen in Venice?
This photo was taken on the playground in front of the Puppet Theater. What can we say about this? The builders' mistake is that the site was made incorrectly and the water was not drained.
And there is also complete disregard on the part of city Administration officials for this condition. Children are walking towards this building and they risk falling into the water. The photo shoot area is also unavailable.
All winter I went to the park, which I discovered in the fall, and looked at this head spitting out water. I wanted to see a lot of frozen ice, but it wasn't there. The water was running in a thin stream and there was no water in the tank. Today I saw that the situation has changed. Apparently, the stream absorbed the melting snow.
The park has turned into a snow-and-water swamp.
In summer, there will be a swimming pool and ducks will swim in it. In the meantime, the water is poured into the container, but it runs away somewhere further.
When I was the age of these children, I also enjoyed spring and the big water on the streets. Oh, what puddles there were on my street! And there was no way around them. It was a village street and I was wearing high fishing boots.
Today the thermometer showed +8 degrees. Temperatures of +12 are forecast by the end of the week. At this rate, the snow will quickly disappear from the streets of our city. The winter was sparsely snowy and warm, so spring is unusual this year.

The reflection in the eighth image is very interesting, it makes us see the world from a different angle, as if there is another reality in the puddle of water.
