In religious gatherings, there is a unique peace where all people come with their needs, and a very peaceful environment is created. Everyone comes with their sins in mind, seeks forgiveness from God, and prays for good wishes for their future.
Moreover, people came to the religious gatherings to get their needs and to pray for the whole humanity and for the last messenger to appear soon and get out the humanity from every difficulties.
Also they do pray to get the best relations in their life, they do pray to get a good wife or husband. They do pray to have children after their marriage life and ask from God for wealth and other relaxations.
No matter what religion someone follows, we should always respect them. We should tolerate each other's religions and, as much as possible, approach one another with love. We should promote love and peace.
A person, no matter which religion they belong to, worships God. In every religion, faith in God is present, whether someone considers a stone as God, fire as God, a deity as God, or believes in something unseen.
Ultimately, everyoneโs worship is directed toward God. The blessed month of Ramadan has begun, and it is one of the Islamic months famous for fasting. Every religion respects this month, and especially Muslims fast from dawn until sunset during this month, expressing their religious love.
Muslims believe that this month is special from God, and it is a command from God to fast during this month. Whoever does not do so commits a sin.
In this context, Muslims fast and express their love for God. The real purpose of fasting is not just to endure hunger and thirst but to protect oneself from every sin.
A person should fast with their eyes, meaning they should not look at anything harmful. They should fast with their tongue, meaning they should not abuse, insult, or backbite anyone. They should fast with their hands, meaning they should not harm anyone, and so on.
This is the real purpose of fasting, and the one who follows all these things is Godโs beloved. Fasting is not only in Islam but also in Christianity, though there are differences. Christians fast, but they eat fruits and avoid anything made with fire.
In any case, everyone performs their duties according to their faith, and only God knows who is right and who is wrong. No person has the right to judge anotherโs actions. Instead, we should respect each otherโs religions.
On the occasion of Ramadan, the Fatimiya Centre has organized a Quran recitation program, which will continue every night until the end of Ramadan. In this program, one part of the Quran will be recited daily, and prayers for good wishes will also be made. I have taken some pictures of this program, which I have shared with you all, and I hope you like them.
