Process in pictures - Proceso en imágenes

Greetings to the whole @TattooWorld community. Happy to find this community.

I found out about the #AtattooforChristmas initiative through the @HiveArte community and immediately found it very interesting, especially because of the theme of designing a tattoo as a gift for someone special.

Immediately after reading the initiative I thought of my best friend and asked her: Claudia, if you wanted a tattoo, what would you like to get tattooed. After a while she answered me: I like the treble clef and the word Aikido in Japanese Kanji characters.

I also asked her where she would like it and she said on her wrist, on the bottom.

It took me a while to look for a picture where the word Aikido was written in Kanji and I couldn't get it for free, so I asked my friend if she had something I could take pictures of and she said of course she had my name and Aikido also in Kanji embroidered on my Hakama (skirt), so I asked her and she also offered me to take pictures of the whole thing and from there I could get the letters I needed.

The dimensions of the tattoo would be the length of the wrist, approximately 4 centimetres long and no more than 2 centimetres high.

The reason for this tattoo comes from two loves that my best friend has: Music and the martial art of Aikido.

She loves to play the piano and the guitar, she has a passion for music, it's something she carries in her soul and I love to listen to her play the piano.

As for Aikido, it is her other passion. She has been practising since she was a child and today she is 5th Dan in Aikido, she has her own students and travels a lot during the year for different events for this discipline.

She is really happy, I have seen her practice and it is something that comes from her heart, it is a way of life, a philosophy and it is very good for her.

That's why my Christmas gift tattoo is for her, because she is my friend - my soul sister and I know she would love to have something like this made by me.

I loved the idea of this initiative and that's why, although there is little time left, I invite @elbuhito and @monipk35 to participate in it.

Design process

First I created the background with a colour gradient from the same Photoshop program.

Then I placed in the corners of the design, as a decoration, a representative figure of Aikido with soft light fusion.

Then I chose two of the hands from the image of the hands and placed them on the design enhancing the contrast and placing a parallel shadow within the layer styles.

The sun key was placed on both wrists to show how it would look in both positions and with an overlay blend, so it would blend in with the skin colour.

Finally I selected the Kanji characters meaning Aikido from the photograph my friend gave me, erased the background and placed it over the treble clef (on both wrists) with the linear underexposure blend. Then I duplicated those layers to make the tattoo effect more noticeable.

Me enteré de la iniciativa # AtattooforChristmas a través de la comunidad de @HiveArte y de inmediato me pareció muy interesante, sobre todo por el tema de diseñar un tatuaje que sirva de regalo para alguien especial.

Inmediatamente después de leer la iniciativa pensé en mi mejor y le pregunte: Claudia si quisieras un tatuaje que te gustaría tatuarte. Luego de un rato ella me responde: Me gusta la clave de sol y la palabra Aikido en caracteres japoneses Kanji.

También le pregunte el lugar donde le gustaría el mismo y me dijo que en la muñeca, en la parte de abajo.

Me tomo un tiempo buscar una imagen donde estuviera escrita la palabra Aikido en Kanji y no la pude conseguir en forma gratuita, entonces le pregunte a mi amiga si ella tenía algo a lo que pudiera tomarle fotos y me dice claro que si en la Hakama (es la falda) tengo bordado mi nombre y Aikido también en Kanji, por lo que le pedí y me ofreció también tomarle fotografías al conjunto y de allí yo podría obtener las letras que necesitaba.

Las dimensiones que tendría el tatuaje sería el largo de la muñeca, aproximadamente unos 4 centímetros de largo y no más de 2 centímetros de alto.

El porque de este tatuaje deviene de dos amores que tiene mi mejor amiga: La música y el arte marcial de Aikido.

A ella le encanta tocar el piano y la guitarra, siente pasión por la música, es algo que lo lleva en el alma y a mi me encanta escucharla tocar el piano.

En cuanto a Aikido es su otra pasión. Practica desde niña y hoy es 5to Dan de Aikido, tiene sus propios alumnos y realiza muchos viajes durante el año por diversos eventos con motivo de esta disciplina.

Realmente es muy feliz, la he visto practicar y es algo que surge de su corazón, es una forma de vida, de filosofía y le hace muy bien.

Por ese motivo mi tatuaje regalo de Navidad es para ella, porque es mi amiga - hermana del alma y sé que le encantaría tener algo así hecho por mí.

Me ha encantado la idea de esta iniciativa y por ello, aunque queda poco tiempo invito a @elbuhito y a @monipk35 a participar de la misma.

Proceso del diseño

Primero cree el fondo con un degradado de colores del mismo programa de Photoshop.

Luego coloqué en las esquinas del diseño, a modo de decoración una figura representativa de Aikido con fusión de luz suave.

Posteriormente elegí dos de las manos de la imagen de las manos y las situé sobre el diseño realzando el contraste y colocándole una sombra paralela dentro de los estilos de capa.

La clave de sol la coloque en ambas muñecas para mostrar como quedaría en ambas posiciones y con una fusión de superponer, así de esa manera se mezclaría con el color de la piel.

Finalmente seleccioné los caracteres Kanji que significan Aikido de la fotografía que me dio mi amiga, le borre el fondo y la coloque sobre la clave de sol (en ambas muñecas) con la fusión subexposición lineal. Luego duplique esas capas para que se note más el efecto de tatuaje.
