Be Supportive Towards Your Kids
For any parent, kids are the most important thing in their life. They sacrifice everything for their kids. They work hard for their family and kids. If it weren't for their family and kids, they could have lived an easier life. Our parents would even sacrifice their lives for their children's well-being. Our parents would never want us to be sad. A human being learns most things from their parents and school. A person follows their parents path. They grow up in their parents footsteps.
They lead their lives as their parents do. They learn how to speak and how to walk from their parents. Not just speaking and walking, they also learn about the little things around them.Most of the time, a baby's first word is mom or dad. But sometimes they also speak something else as their first word, which is definitely what they hear the most.
Parents become so happy when their kids start walking or speak their first word. Usually, a human being follows the path and culture of their parents. They believe in the same religion as their parents. When someone is just a kid, they don't have an idea about what's right and what's wrong. But when someone becomes an adult, they can have different thoughts than their parents. We should respect their thoughts and opinions. We should respect everyone's thoughts. Sometimes when the children chooses a different path than their parents, it becomes really painful and it would be not imagine-able for them.
It’s like the child for whom they sacrificed their lives is not listening to them now. So, the Asian parents most times force their kids to do what the parents want. They just want their kids to follow their path at any cost. Believe in the same religion as they do, and follow the same culture. But it is okay for a person to switch in a different way if he's sure about what he's doing. But for the sake of his parents, he shouldn't overdo something. If I had kids and they had different opinions and thoughts, I would have respected their thoughts. We shouldn't force anyone to do something. If we force our kids into something that they're not happy with and are not willing to live that way, it would only cause fuss in their lives. No one could be happy with it.
For real the parents want the best for their kids. That is why they force their kids to do something they aren't interested in. I know it is hard for any parent to let their kids divert from their path, as they don't want their bad and always pray for their well-being. I would have been hurt if my kids were to go to a different culture. But I would have supported him or her if he stayed within a limit. Because the people of our country are not broad-minded. The people of the society are always talking negatively about everything.
Well, if my kids wanted to convert to another religion, I would deny it until he's fully sure that he wants to convert. Because forcing someone doesn't work if he truly believes he's doing something right. As a parent, it might be very painful for me. But I have to respect my kid's decision.

Parents always wanted to be like shadow to their children and they can not even see a single worry on the forehead of their kids. They always remain our protective shield.

Truly we all want the best for our children and go to different lengths to make sure they walk on the path that we believe would help them, however, we must give them room to make their own decisions once in a while.
Like you, I won't be happy if my child decides to change religion, I tried to stop them before if they do instead, I guess I've no power to stop such.
Parents can do anything for their children, even sacrifice everything. But it's also a fact that real Muslim parents don't want to see their children stubbornly choosing another religion.
