Describe what you see: I see a pink children's dining table, so I presume the diners will be girls, with three plastic cups filled with drinks, and a single cake. The girls have not yet arrived. In the back you see a stuffed panda bear and a red cloth bag with hearts drawn on it.

Describe what you feel: The photo takes me back to memories of my childhood, breakfast with my three sisters before school, mom busy getting her daughters ready before the school bus arrived, all of us in uniform, the supplies we needed at school and eating breakfast before we left. It must have been very stressful for her, but every day Monday through Friday she had to wake up very early to help us. What I feel is a big thank you to her and some nostalgia for those long ago days.

Write a story or poem or about what you think is going:

Where are my kids?

That Monday morning Dora didn't feel like getting up when the alarm clock rang, but she had to wake up her four little girls, help them get dressed, and give them breakfast before the school bus arrived. The night before she had helped them get ready with the uniform and school supplies they needed that day. She peeked into the two rooms, turned on the light and told them: "Get up girls, go wash your faces and brush your teeth while I prepare the coffee, I'll be right back to help you put on your uniforms.

While she was preparing coffee for her husband and looking for milk and cereal for her daughters, she heard on the radio the mamas and papas song "Monday, monday"...the girls were taking their time, she found them in the bathroom playing with the water. SHe told them: -Girls, stop playing with the water, go get dressed now or you won't have time for breakfast. They all rushed into the room, she helped them get dressed, they quickly ate their cereal and went out to wait for the bus.

That afternoon, when they came home from school, he served them snacks, juices and cake. They began to fight among themselves. Dora thought for a moment: "What a nuisance! Sometimes I wish I had never had the four girls, they tire me so much, they torment me, I am no longer young. She said to them: -Stop fighting, girls, I will punish you.

At that moment the phone rang, she went to the living room to answer the phone. It was her mother, calling to say hello, to see how the girls were doing. When she returned the table was empty, the only thing she found was the stuffed panda bear. She shouted, "Where are the girls? It's not funny! She looked for them in the bedrooms, in the dining room, in the bedrooms and there was no sign of them.

Suddenly, she was alone, the house was completely silent. She went out to the garden, they were not hiding there either, laughing. She closed the door and started to walk around the neighborhood, but did not find them. Suddenly it seemed strange to see cars from two decades ago. When she returned, she tried to open the door of her house to call her husband, but it wouldn't open. She began to wander the streets of her neighborhood and when she reached the park where she used to take her daughters, she wished with all her heart that they would return, before falling asleep on a bench.

When the alarm clock rang, Dora was startled awake from her nap. The girls were just coming home from school. She had bought some juice and a delicious cake to give them as a snack. She sighed in relief. She couldn't imagine her life without the girls.

A school bus sounds like a luxury to me. Here parents take their children to school by car, bike or walk. It takes a lot of energy and at times stress to deliver each child in time at the right school and classroom.
I am grateful they go by themselves now.

If we go back in time like this mom did in her dream she should be the person she was back then. In this case, she didn't which does make a difference.

I understand how she feels, always tired, and people draining your energy makes it hard to enjoy. It's basically one worry after the next.

Thank you for joining pic1000.

I understand your point of view, but when I was a child school bus came for me every day.I relied on my experience. My father had to go to work very early and didn't have time to take my sisters and me to school.
