It was nice meeting Him! Who and why?
"You need need to know someone from Adam before you help the person"
That was the response I got when I ask him why he helped me so much.
My story.
It was on a weekend.
It was a night bus traveling from Lagos State to Abia state and it's going to take 12 hours or more to get to Aba which is the heart of Abia state.
I love sitting close to the window but at this point this guy Henry by name booked the window sit before me, it was a luxurious bus, I was not comfortable but I had no option, at the time we boarded and set to move he asked me " Are you okay" i said yes but, " he said but what " i replied i wish i got the window sit, "he said will that make you comfortable?" I replied yes with smile on my face.
Surprisingly he stood up and said I should move in to the window sit, I wasn't expecting that because no one spares window sit for any reason, window sit gives you the opportunity to get fresh air being that is a very long trip. I was so happy and the journey continued.
Usually the bus will stop like three times for people to urinate and get some walk and the journey continues, sometime the drivers will use that opportunity to get gas for the vehicle as passengers are having some rest.
At the first stop I started feeling sick but I decided to keep it to myself but I couldn't step down for any reason, so he stepped down and got some water and snacks for the both of us.
When he came in and gave me those things I became suspicious because most times when Nigerian men do good definitely they are looking for something in return but Henry was a different person.
I thanked him but couldn't eat anything because of my health, i was trying my best not to show how i was feeling but it kept getting worse.
Just after 5hrs of our trip i started throwing up and it was right in his legs i threw up, i got soo scared that he might be upset with me, i wanted to apologize but i couldn't control myself system, he immediately got up not mind his body he looked for water in the bus and came back to me, the bus was still on motion, he cleaned me up, i started feeling cold he gave me his jacket and covered me like a baby.
Honestly at this point i said in my mind "This guy is God sent"
After 7hrs we have to stop for some check in the bus, this guy helped me down and took me to the roadside and washed up my face and body, at this point i asked him "please what is your name?" He replied "Am Henry and you" I said am Beauty.
He took me back to the bus and went out to get some snacks and medication for me, he took so long that the bus almost left him, he got me so many things and asked me to make my choice.
I was still wondering why he was doing all this for me, honestly i couldn't comprehend it at all because i don't know him from anywhere, he's a total stranger.
At this point I became interested so i engaged him and i learned that he was going for a business trip in my state and hes still single, hmmmmm in my mind i was thinking maybe he could say something but he was just a nice person nothing more.
He never asked me of my contact but i had to ask him because he has been to nice to me, we exchanged contacts and kept on talking because i was a little stable, he assisted me all through the journey.
So i asked him why he's so nice and why he didn't feel irritated over everything, he told me he's a business man and a traveler and people have helped him time without number and more to that is the fact that his mother thought him a vital lesson on showing kindness to strangers, i couldn't believe it because i have never meet such person before especially while traveling, most people are always aggressive and don't care about the next person but this guy was exceptional.
The next morning we got to Aba Abia state and he helped me board another bus going to my village and went for his business.
We kept on chatting till i lost his contact and i don't know his way about anymore.
It was nice meeting Henry because he saved my life.
Henry was a life saver to me, have you meet such person before?
