Solo holiday adventures. Loh #165.

Hello hivians and fellow ladies of this community, greetings!

The holiday season is here and all around families are beginning to make preparations for the season. Decorating the houses beautifully, planning the menu and presents and deciding who and where to visit, are some of the major plans for the holiday season.

The beautiful thing about family is that no one is left out as everyone except sucklings, has a role to play in making the plans come alive. I hail from a not so large family but I think we were enough to raise the roof each holiday season. I am the eldest child with four siblings. We always looked forward to the holidays because of it's immense benefits that come our way and the fun memories that stay with us.

Would you accept an all-expenses paid trip to another country but it means spending the holiday alone

My answer to the above question is a solid yes, I would. As much as I love my family and would always want to spend the holidays with them, I think that certain opportunities should not be by-passed.

One of the key importance of having and belonging to a family is Support. Family should support each other in good or trying times. I am assured that my family would support me if ever an opportunity ever comes my way.

Even though I would be physically on my own in another country spending the holidays, I know I will not be alone. There are many advanced technologies that can still keep us connected irrespective of the distance. I would skype, zoom and face time with my family anytime I miss them or want to share my adventures with them.

Speaking of adventures, that would be the primary reason for accepting such an offer of being away from my family, during the holidays. I would get the chance of touring all around the country without fear. My chosen country for the holidays would be England, London precisely. I would like to tour the royal grounds and see firsthand how the British royals celebrate the holidays. I'm sure it would be on a grand scale....it would be so exhilarating.

I would try out different cuisines from several restaurants (yes foodie) and take a lot of pictures of it to share with my family. I'm sure there would be several Christmas functions for families as well. I would visit those functions and other interesting sites, soaking in the fun and storing the memories on my sd card and my mind.

Spending the holidays alone would surely exempt me from certain compulsory chores and afford me more time to discover myself in many ways. Let's just say there would be no inhibitions to the way I would experience everything, just the way my heart wants to but still within moral propriety.

I would make the most of the time I would be spending in the country. I would gain insights into certain Christmas traditions and hopefully one of such traditions can be adopted in my family in the years to come.

Most importantly I won't be alone. I would have my family's support, love and cheers and when the holiday season is passed, I would return to their open arms and waiting smiles, ready to pour out to their waiting itching ears, all about my adventures. It would cause a reconnect on a deeper level.

Having a supportive family is amazing. They would always encourage you to experience things even if it means they will miss you for a while and that's beautiful.

A trip to London would be fantastic! And it's nice that you are open to experiencing many things and thinking of discovering more of yourself through such a trip :)

Why would you even say no? Besides it will be for only a short time, and best believe that your family would want you to embark on that trip. It will be an amazing experience and a great avenue to get in tune with yourself. Your destination country is great too

A trip to London?? That would be an amazing experience. Touring every part of the country and trying out their different meals. That would definitely be a holiday well spent.

One's family is worth more than silver and gold. They always there to love, care, support and encourage 🤗.

Staying away from those you love is not a bad thing sometimes especially when it comes to things like this. It doesn't change the fact that we love them so much 🥰
