Splinterlands - My strategy in the Glint Shop | Community Challenge
Glint, glint, glint... there is never enough glint to satisfy the appetite of a hungry shopper. But one must do with what it has and in these conditions I had to adapt my strategy in order to make the most of it. Or at least most of what I think I can make. First of all one should know that when buying from the Glint Shop you get a maximum number of items that you can buy on each type - Batch 1. Once you deplete that, you can buy from another tier - Batch 2 - but on this one the items will be more expensive than the ones before. And so on... thus my strategy is to deplete specific items that are part of Batch 1 considering also the fact that I am not earning enough Glint to tap into other batches as well.
Rewards types
When going shopping into the Glint Shop we can choose between different rewards types: Rarity Draws, Loot Chests, Exclusive or Resources. My current strategy is based on picking up items from the Rarity Draws as here what you see is what you get. Other reward types have a different type of chances to get something better, but for now I will not take any risk.
Common Draw
I will be first buying all Batch 1 items from the Common Draw, thus focusing to level up and maximize all the Common cards. My focus is for Regular cards, while the Gold Foils will be a bonus in my case. I even tried to sell some of them, but the market simply is not there anymore and considering the unbinding cost I barely can make a profit. And that when I succeed to sell a card, sometimes I am waiting even 7 days or so to get anything sold.
Rare Draw
Once I finish the Batch 1 from the Common Draw, I am moving on the Rare Draw. I will be buying all the items from the Batch 1 here as well as the items are not too expensive at this point. Rarely I get a Gold Foil on these ones as are fewer items.
Epic Draw
After finishing the Batch 1 from the Rare Draw, I am moving on the Epic Draw. This season I have succeeded to buy around 3 Epic items as these are starting to be quite expensive. But probably until the end of the season I will be able to buy 1 or 2 more Epic Draw items.
Legendary Draw
These are the most expensive items, with a Glint cost of 35,000. I have left these at the end and for now I didn't bought into any Legendary from the Glint Draw. Still, I was lucky enough to get a Legendary Gold Foil from the rewards for advancing to the next competitive tier, so that helped me to have also something from the Legendary Draw group. But as a generic rule I will be buying from this type only after I would have maxed out the other ones.
This is my strategy in the Glint Shop and I think is affordable for everyone to try it. Start small and grow big as you evolve in the game. You don't need to tap into all the Rarity Draws, but for sure you can start with the smallest one and advance afterwards to different rarities. As well you can afford this way more cards, which helps with the motivation and enthusiasm - at least in my case it does. Hopefully this helps so that's it from my side and it remains for me to wish you steady building your deck!

Congratulations on getting that legendary for advancing, like you, I've not been able to actually buy any legendary cards, I think it's just too expensive, but I've bought some epic
We almost have the same strategy but I prioritize Rare draws first and then common. 😀
I always feel it's better to go for rarity draws if we have to level up the cards fast, the reason for this is, most of the time, the loot chests gives us the potions and gladius tokens and chances of getting legendary or epic or even rare ones are very less.
So, I always go with this strategy of buying rarity draws to level up my cards, I see that is rewarding One with most of my common cards are in level 6 and some of them near to level 7.
Good One my friend.
I found that strategy interesting
Thank you for this detailed explanations
