In Splinterlands you play some epic battles that you cannot simply forget. The intensity and the force of the battle is so high, that the adrenaline pumps into your veins while you watch you warriors taking the battlefield and you can only watch and hope for the best. You take a peek at the opponent's formation and as you see his strong warriors, you wonder if you strategized good enough to win it. Sometimes your warriors fall to the ground, but other times they up their skills as the battle continues and you become invincible. I have witness such a battle moments ago and I simply wanted to share it with you and describe my strategy.

This was a high mana battle of up to 60 Life points, so I used the Life formation on which I had warriors with big hearth and strong strikes. This is one of my favorite formations and while I have laid it down to the battlefield, I've tweaked a bit and it paid up ten fold. So here it is:

  • Drybone Barbarian opened the line and with his high striking power I am sure he put some fear into the opponent warriors.
  • Second in line was Janni Rebel which adds some powerful magic punching in the mix. Placing it in the second position was determined by the next card that I've put on the board.
  • Iziar unfolded next and the strategic planning for its position was determined also by the fact that it has Martyr skill, which provide +1 stats to adjacent units after he dies.
  • As I am playing a summoner which allows me to add to the mix a Gladiator, I have chosen next Tatiana Blayde. And if you'll watch the game, she was the secret card in the hand that ensured victory on the battlefield.
  • Bila the Radiant came next and its Life Leech skill made it a strategical option.
  • Last in line was Prismatic Energy which would eat life with its magic and also having enough life of its own to last more.

The game could have gotten both ways but with Tatiana Blayde reaching a damage of more than 14 (which by the way, I have never seen before!!!), she simply thunder strike all the remaining opponents. This was a battle of high mana, a battle of force where through strategic planning I succeeded to win it even if the opponent had Quora Towershead in the middle. Seeing his formation for the first time I had big doubts about the results, but the good positioning of the martyr and tremendous increase in the skills of surrounding warriors, the balance turned into my favor.
