Crunchy and delicious ham bread (Eng - Esp)
Greetings dear community lover of food and good taste #foodiesbeehive, God bless you, I wish you a happy and prosperous year, may peace and love reign in every home; today I share a #recipe to prepare ham bread, the perfect companion for the New Year's Eve dinner, it is the first time I prepare this delicious bread and it was very well browned and crunchy; the preparation takes approximately six hours; since the dough must rest for 2 hours while the yeast is activated and then two more hours after assembling the bread, I show you the process of elaboration.
Saludos estimada comunidad amante de la comida y el buen sabor #foodiesbeehive, que Dios les bendiga, les deseo un feliz y próspero año, que la paz y el amor reine encada hogar; hoy comparto una #receta para preparar pan de jamón, el acompañante perfecto para la la cena de fin de año, es la primera vez que preparo este delicioso pan y quedó muy bien doradito y crujiente; la preparación toma aproximadamente seis horas; ya que la masa debe reposar 2 horas mientras se activa la levadura y posteriormente dos horas más luego de armar el pan, les muestro el proceso de elaboración.
INGREDIENTS
Wheat flour (800 gr)
Oil (1/2 cup)
Yeast (15 gr)
Baking powder (1/2 spoon)
Olives (45 gr)
Raisins (60 gr)
Ham (420 gr)
Bacon (200 gr)
Sugar (2 spoons)
Salt (1/2 spoon)
Hot water (1 1/2 cup)
Egg (1)
INGREDIENTES
Harina de trigo (800 gr)
Aceite (1/2 taza)
Levadura (15 gr)
Polvo de hornear (1/2 cuchara)
Aceitunas (45 gr)
Uvas pasa (60 gr)
Jamón (420 gr)
Tocineta (200 gr)
Azúcar (2 cucharas)
Sal (1/2 cuchara)
Agua caliente (1 1/2 taza)
Huevo (1)
PROCEDURE
I added in a bowl the water, oil, yeast, half cup of flour, sugar, salt and baking powder and mixed with the help of a wooden paddle.

Agregué en un bowl el agua, aceite, levadura, media taza de harina, el azúcar sal y polvo de hornear y mezclé con ayuda de una paleta de madera.
Then I added the rest of the flour, mixed until well blended and took it to the work surface where I previously added wheat flour to better handle the dough, kneaded until a smooth texture was obtained, covered the bowl with a cloth and let it rest for two hours in a dark space with no draft.
Luego añadí el resto de la harina mezclé hasta integrar y llevé al mesón de trabajo donde previamente agregué harina de trigo para manipular mejor la masa, amasé hasta obtener una textura suave, cubrí el bowl con un paño y dejé en reposo durante dos horas en un espacio oscuro y sin corriente de aire.
After two hours, the dough had doubled in size, I placed it on the work surface, divided it into two portions and stretched it with a rolling pin until it was approximately 0.7 centimeters thick.
Pasadas la dos horas, la masa había aumentado el doble de su tamaño, la coloqué en el mesón de trabajo, dividí en dos porciones y estiré con ayuda del rodillo hasta obtener el grosor de aproximadamente 0,7 centímetros.
Once the dough was rolled out, I placed the olives in a row at one end of the rectangle, then wrapped them in a sort of tube, then added the ham, bacon and raisins, leaving six centimeters of dough free at the other end, which will be used to decorate the top of the bread.
Estirada la masa puse la aceitunas en fila en uno de los extremos del rectángulo, luego las envolví formando una especie de tubo, seguidamente agregué el jamón, tocineta y pasas dejando seis centímetros de masa libre en el otro extremo, que servirá para adornar la parte superior del pan.
Distributed the ingredients, I folded the dough twice and carefully cut several strips in the excess dough and put the strips on the top of the bread forming an X, in the other bread I just put the strips side by side.
Distribuidos los ingredientes, doblé la masa dos veces y con mucho cuidado corté varias tiras en el sobrante de masa y puse la tiras en la parte superior del pan formando una X, en el otro pan solo coloqué las tiras una al lado de la otra.
I took the loaves to the tray, pricked them with a fork and let them rest for two hours.
Llevé los panes a la bandeja, pinché con tenedor y dejé en reposo durante dos horas.
Then I beat an egg and after the two hours of rest I painted the loaves with egg to give it shine and color, then I took them to the preheated oven and baked them for thirty-five minutes at 180 degrees Celsius, removed and let them cool.
Luego batí un huevo y pasadas las dos horas de reposo pinté los panes con huevo para darle brillo y color, luego llevé al horno pre calentado y horneé durante treinta y cinco minutos a 180 grados centígrados, retiré y dejé enfriar.
Once the bread was cold I cut several slices and I liked the result and the contrast of flavors of the raisins with the olives and ham is very delicious. this has been my entry to Qurator: Hive Top Chef // End of year dish.

I can understand why it is best prepared during the New year! Almost all of the ingredients from Ham, raisins, and bacon are available during this season. They look so yummy!
