Splinterlands Art Contest - "Hi no basuke 2, Mi zu"
Hello wonderful Splinterlands community
It's been great being a part of the tough creative competition. Last week I was part of the honorable mention and seriously i am excited.
This week I was inspired to do something similar to the art work that helped me be a part of the winners two weeks ago. And here we are with Hi no Basuke 2.
Using this amazing five I created Hi no Basuke 2
Process
Since I had a ton of fun on the "Hi no basuke" piece I figured I do a part 2, this time with the water characters.
So as usual First a couple pose sketches until I finally decided on this one.
Next I move on to lineart, nothing too fancy a little refining here and there.
Then I colour in the flats, I had a ton of ideas for the uniform and ended up with this pretty cool design.
Once all the flat colours are in, I move on to the background, keep it simple, added some water effects at the back.
Then I move on too lighting. I choose a light blue for this, set the layer mode to linear light and then colour in some rim lighting.
After I do a little refining, make some adjustments add in some effects and We are done.
Piece took 3 hours work time.
Software used was KRITA.
