The prankster

Arnold had always prided himself as the prankster of the year to the disapproval of his brothers and their parents.

Year in, year out, he pranks his family in the most disturbing of ways.

Once, he pranked his elder brother Caleb with a fake account clearance details that Caleb narrowly survived a heart attack because he thought his bank account has been hacked and all his money made away with.

Their Parents were not pleased at all when they all found out it was a prank and this led Arnold to tone down on his mischievous way, but not entirely as he subsequently throws light pranks here and there.

This year his brothers had something in store for him, something he won't see coming that would scar him for life. As they plot, Arnold was also plotting, despite him being mischievous no one ever sees his prank coming or actually knows the angle he's coming from.

“Do you think we can actually teach Arnold a lesson and make him change from his evil ways?”, Trevor asked with so much anger having remembering how Arnold sent him a fake lottery email that he won a lottery which made him sell off almost all his properties in preparation for relocation.

“Relax bro, I know what he did to you is still fresh in your mind as it feels just like yesterday you were almost homeless and roaming the street naked," Mike said, trying to hold off his laughter.

“At one point in our lives, Arnold has almost killed us, remember what he did to Mom and Dad?”, Jude said as they all burst out laughing.

“It was how Daddy screamed like a little girl, and ran out of the house naked having seen the fake snake Arnold dropped in the bathroom”, Mike retorted as they all laughed so hard.

“Till today mommy has not forgiven him for failing to protect her in the face of danger”, Mike continued

“The old man has lost his voice as mommy keeps reminding him she was the one brave enough to uncover the snake being fake and a prank”, Trevor added

“We really need to place Arnold guys, he needs to know we can beat him to his game but how?” Caleb asked in low Spirit.

“I hate to admit it, but Arnold is a god man," Mike added as they all felt defeated.

“I think I know how we can scar the bastard,” Trevor said wearing a mischievous look on his face.

“How?” Caleb, Jude and Mike asked simultaneously.

With a hand gesture, Trevor urged his brothers to come closer and they plot.

At Arnold's end, he was seriously purchasing several April fools items to prank his family by.

“Don't you think you are spending too much money to pull off a silly prank?” Abigail inquired with so much anger in her voice.

She has hated Arnold's prank so much that it one time caused them their relationship and almost cost her her life.

Arnold had dressed like a masquerade and hid in a corner, turning off the light.

He had initially told Abigail he would be out of town, and Abigail even followed him to the airport and saw his flight take off. But somehow Arnold had remained and snuck back into their apartment to carry out his tricks.

Abigail had returned from work exhausted hoping to take a hot shower and long nap.

She got done with the shower but hurriedly came out to tend to her phone as it was ringing.

Unable to locate the phone, she turned on the bright lights to look for it only to see Arnold dressed as a masquerade holding a knife and charging towards her.

She got so scared that as she was running back into the bathroom for safety, she slipped and fell, causing her to be unconscious.

She was lucky to had survived and after much pleading from Arnold, she made him promise never to prank her again, of which Arnold has judiciously abide by.

As the Month of fools draws near, the 4 brothers anticipated their revenge against their baby brother Arnold. They had collectively invested so much time and effort in the whole thing that they were confident it can't fail.

It was April 1st and coincidentally, their Father's retirement party was holding on that day. Their compound was set as music boom with the salivating aroma of food hovering the atmosphere.

The five brothers were dressed for the occasion and as they approached their parents with smiles, they bowed and congratulated their father thereafter.

“I wouldn't want you ruining this event for your father, Arnold, so respect yourself.” Their mother cautioned.

Arnold smiled and promised to be a good boy.

At the highlight of the party, everyone had gotten a good dance and ate to their satisfaction, their father gave his vote of thanks and soon people started leaving.

By the time the compound was empty, the boys left for their various homes while their parents rested.

But Arnold never got home, as he was abducted on his way.

At first, he wasn't panicking as he thought this could be the handwork of his brothers. But then his brothers were not pranksters and a reasonable amount of time has passed and no one was coming to tell him it was a prank. Soon he started getting scared.

“Ok guys, you win, can you call off this prank now because it's no longer funny”. Arnold said with a shaky voice as he hears footstep approaches.

In a masked voice the following discussion ensured.
Person 1: “I told you let's harvest his organs, he would be more useful in the black market"

Person 2: “At this moment, I think I will agree with you because his family thinks we are a joke”

Person 3: “Maybe if we send them a finger, they will know we are serious.”

By now, Arnold was already trembling in fear because the voices he was hearing sounded nothing like his brothers.

As his abductors decided on a gruesome faith for him, they started hearing water trickling down. Tracing the sound, they discovered Arnold was wetting himself and shivering.

The guys didn't know when they burst out laughing. and Arnold became confused. They took off the sack covering his head and Arnold was shocked to see his brothers. They all laughed hysterical at him as the prankster has now been pranked.
