numismatic sin for a Lazy Saturday/Reblog lottery
Welcome to a lazy Saturday post where I must confess to my numismatic sin and ask for forgiveness, however mine was not the original sin.
I picked up this nice 1911 sterling(92.5% silver) 3 pence coin from my local coin shop for 10% over spot. Unfortunately as you can see in the picture below, someone welded the coin at one point probably for some type of jewelry.
And so defiled with coin with a file to take out 4 of these welded notches.
It's usually not cool to mess with coins but in this case someone already did and I am trying to clean it up a bit.

@bitcoinman's bits of wisdom
- Invest only what you can afford to lose and be mindful of the potential risks.
- Unless you can accept delivery stay away from futures and stick to physical.
- Leverage is a great tool for losing money fast.
- Numismatics for the lows stick to smart stacking baby.
- Be cautious of new schemes in crypto, like ICOs, DeFi, and NFTs, do your research before investing.

Comments: Little weld spots, what can you do? Should not be a big deal as a Stacker, just don't show it to a coin grading specialist with a chip on his shoulder. And, I like shiny things, even jewelry.
And now for the Speed-reading part….

Cool find! Hey anything 100 plus years old is gonna have some dings. Otherwise I’d question is it even legit. 1911 , just think! No Central Bank in America when this coin was born! No IRS! No foreign European Big War that changed history forever for the worse! What a time to be alive! If this coin could talk!
PS drop by the closest 2 pin contest when u have a sec. Ur guess was already taken. Just edit a new one in when u have a moment 🍻
