I'm sure many of you encountered @trumpman on the chain and figured he is just a gay asshole... well you are wrong... at least about the asshole part 🤣
No offence here that's how the boys get down we may call each other names and do lots of gay jokes but its all love... gay love😝
Anyway lets get into the story, a little while back @trumpman offered to delegate HP on my behalf to the the SGS community to bring me up to the gold tier allowing me to get 100% upvotes from the community bot.
He was really generous, I offered up a profit share but he refused any sort of payment for his delegation, well I wasn't having that so I ended up sending him some silver as a thank you.
but wait there is more...
Recently we had a monster raffle and part of my donation was some 1 oz Indian head bars, he left a comment on my post saying he really wanted a bar, and so I took a mental note 🤣
With the monster raffle coming to an end I send out my 4 donations along with a gift to @trumpman, since his delegation I earned and bought some more HP and was going to do 2 things cover my own gold tier and offer to subsidize other members like he did for me... I let him know that he can take his delegation away but he refused, said I should delegate more to PIMP to get higher votes, I said well damn I am going to have to send some more silver soon he refused my offer but he gonna get some more silver soon anyway 🤣

I got questions for you, I got a response to one of my posts from anthonyadavisii saying that the re-blog lottery is buying votes. Turns out he's a moderator of a downvote community. He didn't downvote thank god. Have you heard anything like this?

These "purists" feel make no sense.... How much HP do I need to max out ssg for payouts? I've never heard the exact HP delegation needed.

I think you doing fairly well and will likely get there before I can offer to subsidize you , already doing this for our 2 newest members for a period of 3 months but if you still short I can help then
I'll get there as long as I keep posting daily, I do have a question though. When delegating HP do I have to pull back the present delegation to maximally delegate. For example I have 500 going to ssg, but have a total of 1364 HP right now. If I try to delegate more now it will only let me do 1000 instead of the max amount. Would I have to pull back the 500 in order to re-delegate the full amount? I'm still trying to figure out delegations here on Hive.

If you are increasing the delegation it should be an instant change and accounts for the HP already delegated, DONT RECALL THE DELEGATION 5 day cool down if you do. It should let you do all your HP but no sense in that unless you got the right amount to reach a specific teir, also not the best idea to leave little HP for yourself may not have enough RCs to post and comment
I usually lease a little HP because it's pretty cheap. When I have tried to increase HP to ssg when I had 1000 HP and 250 was out to ssg, I put to delegate 1000 and it ended up only 500 being delegated to ssg total instead of the thousand. That's my confusion... That's happened a few times now.
Maybe it's has to do with some of it being leased, I'm not really sure I think I had a similar issue before but I think it just may have been confusion, just try to up the delegation to 1k and see if it works
Being generous with one's hive power will pay off in retaining new and junior members over the long term. It's not guaranteed but gives the new Hiver a great experience and better community image.
