Note to self 57 days till Christmas
It’s a new day of confessions and as I visit you daily I know it will lighten my life when I am done writing.
It will clear my head and make me ready to sleep while the thunder is heavy outside. It was a slow start and I even forgot to submit my question for my week of the ladiesofhive. Thanks to the new wintertime and me sleeping in before church. Thank god sweet @thekittygirl made sure the contest is up now and I saw some comments already. But do submitt some entries ladies and gents. The field is open to all interpretations in my week of the ladies challenge. As said the wintertime here in Holland is set and the weather was bad today. I went for a walk with my lovely dog and hubby. Although it was cold it’s always great to be outside whatever the weather. I spend the day doing chores and helping with homework. My kids are all
In different grades and we did Spanish, English and Art. The fact that I am the adult and they automatically think that I know everything is sometimes hard. I have to learn aswell and some things i just learned to long ago. I have to say that Art is my favorite. We did an Egypt project and made a comic about a farao. It’s for a grade so we went all in. We used glitter pens and color pencils but also an old Lonely Planet edition Egypt to get a great end result. Son happy hopefully teacher aswell. Spanish was “ do a small convo together “ and I have enjoyed hearing my little boy talk spanish.
I also had a bit of a difficult moment when the difficult questions rise while we as a family watch the evening news. I de and hear myself having trouble explaining the war and the reasoning. It’s so much sadness and murder that it is just not easy to explain. Me as a parent and with partner always had the rule to explain and take away the worrying but these days, ……
These days mummy had a hard time. I wanna provide the extra and the most safe invironment that is possible but like Ukraine , Israel and Gaza are just around the corner. Just 5 hours away. Yes I admitt I am aftrad and just try to keep sanity for the kids, and their future.
We are eating early because the Grand Prix of Mexico is on tv later toninght and so I want to be done with my chores and with you my diary writing for Sunday. I want to be redact to enjoy, 71 laps of our special Dutch driver Max Verstappen. I made sure lol is ready for a nee week and promised my niece that I would make a wedding dress. Well a dress and a veil, for Barbie mind you. Work bag and clothes are in place and the kids go to bed now so I can join hive.

Really beautiful and soulful, Britt. Sounds like something I would write in mine, at least the daily affirmations. My little sisters are always confused when I say I don't know something. Like they expect that cause I'm me and older, I should know everything. You're doing well, Mama. Really well.

I can't imagine being faced with the questions kids everywhere must have about the things that are happening in the world! I can see where it could be very daunting living that close the both Ukraine and to Israel. War is not good and the world is in a big mess all around.
Then, there's the homework! I get what you mean when you say that kids think that as adults, we know EVERYTHING! It's just not so; both with the world situation and with homework. I admire your ability to jump into helping them with their projects. All I can say is I'm glad mine are grown, lol!
