People Will Be Looking For Safe Assets - Your House Is Not An Asset
I see so many U-tubers talking about now as being like 2005.
And they are planning for a repeat of 2008.
Get out of housing now, and get back into housing when the prices drop, and they start to lower interest rates again.
This is a great plan, if this was a replay of 2008. But it is not 2008. The entire world has changed since then. Everything that made 2008 a great time to pick up cheap real estate is gone now. 2025-28 will be horrible years to be invested in real estate.
And if you have a suburban house, you may as well write it off. At least get it into your mind that it is worthless, gone, not worth protecting.
As Robert Kiyosaki has said for decades, "You House is Not An Asset".
If any one of the below happens as stated, suburban housing prices drop, and becomes worthless.
Demand for housing drops in half
It is simple demographics. (well, i guess it is not so simple) Boomers are moving into mortuaries or aided living homes. That is 25% of the houses in America becoming vacant. Just that alone will cause prices to fall and never recover. We aren't having enough babies to take up the slack. There will be more and more empty houses. If, everything else goes well.
It isn't going well. All causes mortality is still going up. TPTshouldn'tB are planning to wipe out 12 out of 13 people. The VAXXX is still taking people. Obesity is taking more.
So, within a decade 40% - 70% of suburban houses will be vacant.
That thing that everyone strove for, that broke their backs, made a deal with the devil (banks) to get… yep, it is pretty much going to become worth not much.
Civil War makes suburbs worthless
MAGA vs WOKE is heating up. Someone is REALLY pushing that narrative and paying people to actually start fights and riots.
We have hundreds of thousands of young, fighting age men flowing across our southern border. If nothing happens, there will be a lot of men, and few women. That will make tensions sky high. (like they are in Europe right now) and that brings lots of rape.
But it usually doesn't stop there. Thefts go up because we do not have tons of jobs for unskilled, untrained labor. No future prospects means people get desperate. And the people who paid for them to get here have plans.
When civil war breaks out, things aren't going to be pretty. The people in this country who know how to fight, NO HOW TO FIGHT. They will go after the supply lines of whomever is supplying the illegals. This will then affect the supply lines of food for the average person.
Everything will be disrupted for months as people are shot, or make a run for the border.
Living in a suburban home will not be comfortable. I suggest you have 3 months of food stored.
Bank failures & 15 minute cities
The only people who will be buying houses will be blackrock. (or someone with a similar name) And only in certain areas, where they will tear everything down, and then build high density housing, with designs to be an open-air prison.
Those fiery, but mostly peaceful protests burned down buildings ALL in areas that were marked for reconstruction.
The banks, where we would get mortgages from, will all be closing, until there is like 5 giant banks left. And they will only be giving mortgages to people who of desired communities.
Your suburb is scheduled for destruction. And you are supposed to move to a 15 minute city.
This is the plan, and they plan to make you hurt, so you will gladly go to the 15 minute city by your own will.
If you can't grow sheep at your house, it is worthless
The biggest problem with suburban homes is that they are completely useless for actually living and surviving.
Poorly insulated, no passive solar heating, and the most important thing, no yard. No place to grow all the vegetables you need to eat each year. No place to grow farm animals for meat that you need to eat each year.
You need a greenhouse. Where are you going to put that? And i don't mean that little thing from CostingCo. I mean a big thing that grows food year round and has automatic deploying hail shields.
If you cannot grow sheep in your yard, your place will be worthless in the future.
We will all become half-farmers in the future. It will be essential to survive, and nutritionally good for you.
So, if none of the bad stuff happens, we are looking at 25% vacancy rates.
If all the bad stuff happens, we are looking at 50%-100% vacancy rates.
In other words, the previously coveted suburban house, will now become a thing left to for nature to reclaim.
We have crested the hump of no return. From here on out, nothing will be the same as what it was.
The suburban sprawl was always doomed. Now it will be seen by all
In times of uncertainty, people hold onto their old ways of thinking even more firmly.
If people hold onto their suburban houses, believing that it is their biggest asset, they will lose whatever wealth they had, and maybe their lives.
If they think they are going to invest in rental property at the bottom of the coming crash, they will probably buy in when the market stabilizes, just before it crashes to zero.

Can't say that i agree with all of the points in your post but A for effort. Then again I live in Ireland we bought a nice country house and could raise a couple of sheep here. Hopefully will pick up some land after a good crypto bull run and have options.
I do think that this will become more and more important as food is mass produced and the population keeps increasing. Self sustainability is the way forward.
A nice country house is a good place to be in this coming … whatever this will be called.
And land is a good use for your crypto wealth.
We have "McMansions" (like McDonalds hamburgers) here in America. They are the epitome of everything wrong with suburban homes. Just big, to be big. Expensive to heat. Useless for actually doing anything. And a tiny yard.
It is what so many Americans aspire to.
Many crypto rich will probably think of buying one of those. I wanted to persuade them away from that.
