"Between taste and variety"

Something very common among people is to have a favorite food or drink, that thing that at the time of choosing is the first thing that comes to your mind with such excitement. But what if within that favorite choice there are several options to choose from 🤔 That's how I felt when I recently went to visit my brother and, in order to share and enjoy a nice moment we decided to buy some beers. my favorite? "Solera." But unlike other days, I decided to try three different soleras to see if I perceived something special and unique in each of them. So, I decided to drink three of them: Solera Kolsch, Solera Classic and the Solera Light.

The first beer I tasted was the Kolsch, perhaps motivated by the curiosity of that name and that it is actually the first time I saw this presentation. Its soft tone in color and flavor is very pleasant, a good choice to start such a test. Then I continued with the Solera Classic, which for its green color is, together with the blue one, one of the ones I have drunk the most, and finally I left the Solera Light. Among these, the strongest is the Classic, with 6.0 alcoholic strength, followed by the Kolsch and finally and honoring its name, the Light ☺️.

At the time of buying them, my brother asked me if I had ever done that before, drinking three different beers, because beyond being Solera, each one had a different taste and alcohol content than the other. It was really the first time I had done something like that, driven more by the interest of trying them than by the fear of a slightly unpleasant reaction. After that, I wanted to see if there was one more presentation to try, such as the blue Solera, but by then there were only these three that I had already selected. In the case of my brother, he preferred not to take the risk and drink only the one of his preference, which is the Zulia beer. To tell the truth, I am not that kind of drinker, but I wanted to give space to a new experience ☺️.

Since the first time I tried Solera beer, it became my first choice when celebrating or sharing with family and friends. Obviously if there is another kind like the same Polar Light or Zulia, there is no reason for rejection, but if there is an opportunity for a Solera, there is no doubt or competition when it comes to that one. Now that I have tried several of the same type, which one is my favorite? I think with the Solera Classic it's like love at first sight, not just because it's my favorite color or because it's the strongest of the three, it's simply a taste that is easier to enjoy than to explain. But in general I admit that tasting three types of soleras at the same time is an experience that I would not hesitate to repeat again 😋 🍺🍺
