Vibes Web3 Music Contest Week Number 28: Winners Review

Sometimes I used to ask myself how life would have been without music, lol.
Since the very day I joined the vibes community and I started making entries for the contest, that marked the beginning of my unending love for music and increased my flair for music as well as boosting my eagerness to improve at each level.

Week Number 29 of the Vibes Web3 Music Contest is ongoing and I'm yet to make my entry. It's been school hazy for me since we started exams but hopefully I'll do the needful by making my video this week. Rather than just waiting for the day I'll drop my video, I considered checking out the winners of the last week's contest and penning down some things I observed and making reference to the Judge's Criteria: link

1ST: THONYKX01

You know what I love more about this guy's entry? It's original and very impressive. When I was watching it, I kept nodding to the beat even when he had stopped, lol. I also love his confidence at the start and to the end. The quality of the instrument is cool making the play smooth. He tried as much as possible to look at the camera and most times gave a smile. The ending was “mad!!” And he showed a change in rhythmical speed and then the video quality is equally impressive.
I must say it's a very nice entry.

Now to the second place;
2ND: ISBELHIV02

After watching his video, I was motivated to learn to play an instrument other than the flute. You know, the way he played the instrument and sang along displayed his expertise in what he does. It showed that he had mastered the song and could multitask singing and playing his fine looking guitar. I couldn't compare which is my best, his voice or the instrument, he was just so good performing both simultaneously. Though he changed his pitch at some moments in his performance, they still fit in well. The song he covered creates in me a musical moment, when my sister was “crazily” in love with the song and often played it everywhere even when bathing, lol. The entry is amazing.

Guess what I noticed; the first winner had an -01 attached to his name and the second position an -02, lol.

3RD: LYON-89:

Ohh!! My good friend made it to the winner's level. I'm happy for you @lyon-89. To first start with, I would say his background is captivating. It shows that he's prepared to do what he came for, and that's to destroy the beat💪. Though I didn't understand his language, his voice alone gave the melody that's needed.
The camera position looks appropriate, capturing his performance and background at perfect perspective. I love the ending when he gestured to the beat gradually. It's indeed, worthy of a selected entry.

4TH: KAYOR

This guy started with a smile, it seemed like something made him happy before facing the camera, lol.
Kayor has a nice voice and throughout the video, there wasn't any background noise or sound feedback. Good lighting and nice background added to the video’s good quality. His facial expression rhymes with what the song tells and that's amazing too. Though the instrument wasn't that easy to follow, his transition from low to high pitch didn't bring a flaw to his performance at all.
Kudos to you, Kayor. I can see he did his best.

5TH: ALEXDEPOOL

One of the entries in the vibes music contest I rarely see is collaborations, where two or more individuals join heads to make amazing music performances, but these guys did it. Most collaborations I see are mostly singers where one person takes a verse and the other a different verse, then they both sing the chorus, but these guys did a collaboration of two different instruments. That's really amazing. They were perfect in timing, the guy playing the clarinet joined the guitarist at the right time. Their performance, to me, is really outstanding compared to most other instrumentalists in the contest. The play is just smooth, I was just moving my head slowly from left to right while watching, lol.

6TH: JOSEACABERAV

This guy's musical video is just so amazing. The starting is captivating. He has a nice voice indeed. His facial expression in the video shows how he was so absorbed into the music.
The video quality is cool and his play of the instrument is smooth. His performance is just almost like that of ISBELHIV02, but it's the Judge(s) that have the final say.

Considering the individual performances and the collaboration entries, you would say that the Judge(s) did a great job in their selection of the winners. For me, I would say everyone is a winner but since the reward is limited to be equally shared amongst every participant and some participants have actually gone extra miles to make their entry better, the winners deserve to be rewarded. They all did a great job.
That was for week 28, now we are in week 29. I can't wait to see amazing entries again.

One other thing I noticed is the fact that all the winners followed the promotional video criteria for the vibes community.
It's one of the major criteria for making a valid entry for the vibes music contest.
