LOH Contest #180: El vestido con flores [ENG/ESP]
Hello to everyone in the Ladies of Hive community! Today I'm joining the community's #180th week contest with this being my entry to participate. I will be answering the second question posed by the lady, @kerrislravenhill. With that said, let's get started.
Yes we are talking about thrift store shopping, I'm all in, I'm a fan of it. The taste was acquired over time when I started attending garage sales and noticed all the curiosities there. I love to find those beauties that sometimes are forgotten or left by others who no longer find value in those items. The good thing is that there is always someone willing to give these objects a second chance. The only rule is that the item must be functional, useful, beautiful and good (the price may vary), because clearly it is not about collecting and accumulating a lot of things just for the sake of it.
A few years ago I was looking for a garment that I could wear to celebrate the date of December 31. That year we would be celebrating the New Year with some of my family that I hadn't seen for a long time and we had planned to do something big. By that time (2016) I had worked hard and wanted to be able to buy a dress that was light, with a corset and a floral print. Here in Venezuela there were almost no stores that sold something like what I was looking for, so with a good friend of mine (who also loved thrift stores), we went looking for the dress.
In a few days there was a garage sale in the parking lot of a shopping mall near where we lived. That's where we went. The story is short because as it was a small event, there were not so many booths, so we quickly went for a girl who had very beautiful clothes on display and there I saw it; a beautiful dress with floral print, light and semi-corset. Clearly I tried it on and it fit perfectly, which made us very happy. Of course, the price was a bit high because it was really intact (as if it had never been worn). I didn't care. I bought it and that's how I wore my beautiful flowered dress that December 31st. A find that for me was a great treasure (it's the one you see in the picture). Without more to say, thank you very much for stopping by and reading my post. Hugs.
No me importo. Abrazos.

Oh yeah sometimes thrifts are actually very expensive because they look so good to be true and that’s because of the sellers
I’m sure they know how people will like it.
Greetings. Yes, sometimes sellers can raise prices because they recognize the value of the item. I will be willing to pay, if that assures me of a good garment 😁 thanks for p
