Today, after a long time without stopping by, I'm joining the community today to participate in the #192 initiative of the week, with @merit.ahama's questions. So with all that said, let's start with that question, go ahead!
¡Hola a todos en la comunidad de Ladies of Hive! Espero que estén teniendo una gran semana. El día de hoy, luego de un largo tiempo sin pasar por aquí, me uno a la comunidad para participar en la iniciativa de la semana #192, con las preguntas de @merit.ahama. Así que dicho todo esto, comencemos con esa pregunta ¡adelante!
How much does friendship mean to you, and can you make new friends easily?
Reading this question immediately made me remember so many things about my past that speak to me a bit about the type of person I am now in the present day. So many people who I consider my friends (and some who are no longer in my life for one reason or another), forged part of my character through our experiences while living with those people. It means a lot to me. I consider friendship to be one of the key pieces to life, to achieve emotional stability, and I explain why in the following lines.
When I was little it was hard for me to make friends because I was always very shy. When I reached 11-12 years old I met who I consider my soul mate in terms of friendship. My friend Estefani, who I met when I was in middle school. She was a light in my life. And I am not exaggerating, because at that time I was going through very hard things (dad with cancer, loss of our house, a lot of poverty and so on), so being with her I felt very relieved, loved and understood because even though we were very young, she with all the wisdom she could gather at her young age, helped me with words of encouragement and also moments of fun.
¿Cuánto significa para ti la amistad? ¿Puedes hacer nuevos amigos fácilmente?
Al leer esta pregunta inmediatamente me hizo recordar tantas cosas sobre mí pasado que me hablan un poco del tipo de persona en la que soy ahora en la actualidad. Tantas personas que considero mis amigos (y algunos que ya no están en mi vida por una razón u otra), forjaron parte de mi carácter a través de nuestras experiencias durante la convivencia con esas personas. Para mí significa mucho. Yo considero que la amistad es una de las piezas claves para la vida, para lograr estabilidad emocional y explico el porqué de mis razones en las siguientes líneas.
Cuando era pequeña me costaba hacer amigos porque siempre fuí muy tímida. Cuando alcance unos 11-12 años conocí a quién considero mi alma gemela en cuanto a relación de amistad hablamos. Mi amiga Estefani, a quién conocí cuando cursaba el nivel de educación medio. Fue una luz en mi vida. Y no exagero, pues para ese momento atravesaba cosas muy duras (papá con cáncer, perdida de nuestra casa, mucha pobreza y demás), por lo que al estar con ella me sentia muy aliviada, amada y comprendida pues a pesar de que eramos muy jóvenes, ella con toda la sabiduría que podia reunir a su corta edad, me ayudaba con palabras de aliento y también momentos de diversión.
In that particular stage, I understood that I not only needed to fill that void that only a friend fills, but that I was capable (and should) also take care of that person and prove that true friendship does exist. And that time would only make us stronger. Within my principles, friendship is there, because it entails solidarity, respect, affective responsibility, love, understanding, innocence, trust and loyalty. Therefore, friendship is not just a term that is said lightly or found everywhere, it is actually very valuable, it is built with acts of selflessness, trust and affection.
Estefani and I already have many years since this adventure began and we are still here (even in the distance), sharing our life experiences that only with the complicity that gives a friendship can be understood and appreciated. Also, I can say that she is not the only friend I have had and that after many years, I have been able to consolidate friendships with other people whom I appreciate in the same way. Each and every one of them were (those who are no longer) and are (those who are) important to me. That is why I believe that with the friends I have now, I feel satisfied and happy for the moments. Besides, friendship is something that happens little by little and spontaneously, so if it does happen, I will not refuse. Without more to say, this has been my participation. Thanks for stopping by. En esa particular etapa, comprendí que no solo me hacía falta llenar ese vacío que solo llena un amigo, sino que era capaz (y debía) de cuidar también de esa persona y demostrar que sí existe la amistad verdadera. Y que el tiempo solo nos volvería más fuerte. Dentro de mis principios, la amistad está allí, pues está conlleva a la solidaridad, el respeto, la responsabilidad afectiva, el amor, la comprensión, la inocencia, la confianza y la lealtad. Por lo cual, la amistad no es solo un término que se dice a la ligera o se halla en todos lados, es en realidad muy valiosa, se construye con los actos de desinterés, confianza y cariño.
Estefani y yo ya tenemos muchos años desde que empezó esta aventura y seguimos aquí (aún en la distancia), compartiendo nuestras experiencias de vida que solo con la complicidad que da una amistad se puede entender y apreciar. También, puedo decir que ella no es la única amiga que he tenido y que luego de muchos años, he podido consolidar amistad con otras personas a quienes aprecio de igual manera. Todos y cada uno de ellos fueron (los que ya no están) y son (los que están) importantes para mí. Por ello creo que con los amigos que tengo ahora, me siento satisfecha y feliz por los momentos. Además la amistad es algo que se da de a poco y de forma espontánea por lo que sí sucede, no me negare. Sin más que decir, esta ha Sido mi participación. Gracias por pasar por aquí. Un fuerte abrazo.
