From what I have read on the internet, Memorial Day is one of the most important days in the US calendar and this means that the President dedicates a speech to the Armed Forces.

This event takes place at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia, where every year he gives a speech to honour the memory of those who have fallen in combat and the US flag is flown at half-mast from dawn to noon.

In my country, the Battle of Carabobo was one of the main military actions of the Venezuelan War of Independence in the framework of the Spanish-American Wars of Independence that took place in the Carabobo Field on June 24, 1821, by the patriot army, in favour of the freedom of Venezuela, against the royalist army, defender of the unity of the Spanish Empire. This battle was decisive in the liberation of Caracas on 29 June.

Where I live, in the state of Miranda, Venezuela, I have the opportunity to travel to the beach, which is only 1 hour and 30 minutes away by car.
I love the feeling of tranquillity and wellbeing that the sea gives me and the benefits it brings to my physical and mental health.

Contact with the sea causes our body to release serotonin, the relaxation hormone, reducing anxiety. The whole environment contributes to making you feel better: the air, the movement and sound of the waves and the sunlight. It also offers the opportunity to exercise.

Two months ago, when my daughter took a holiday from work, we went to a club in Vargas state, at this time it was low season and we enjoyed all the facilities: swimming pools, access to the beach, walkways and a beautiful view of the Caribbean Sea, a small tropical paradise.

That is one of the options I have to escape from the daily routine, with the next holiday, which I hope will be as soon as possible with God's favour.

Hace ya dos meses, aprovechando que mi hija tomó unas vacaciones en su trabajo, fuimos a un club en el estado Vargas, en ésta época era temporada baja y disfrutamos de todas las instalaciones: piscinas, acceso a la playa, caminerias y una hermosa vista al Mar Caribe, un pequeño paraíso tropical.

Esa es una de las opciones que tengo para escaparme de la rutina diaria, con las próximas vacaciones, que espero sea lo más pronto posible con el favor de Dios.
