In English
Greetings friends of the #LadiesofHive community and the edition they bring us for this week, where they invite us to reflect with the questions of our esteemed @elizabethbit, responding to each of them, below I present my participation:
1.Tis the season! From Halloween to all other holidays, food is at the centre of it all. Whether it's main dishes or treats like desserts and sweets, the variety never ends. How do you deal with the abundance and avoid overeating? 0 do you? What tips can you offer to keep it under control?
Although in Venezuela it is not so traditional, this year I saw people in many shops with their faces made up and handing out candy to customers and children for Halloween.
The month of December brings us mixed feelings: anxiety, joy, fun, nerves, celebrations.
This is the ideal time to meditate on the memories and memories that lodge in our minds, we also add parties, food and gifts.
Gathering with the family, as is customary every year, for Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, preparing a rich dinner made from family recipes is always memorable.
However, tasting the most delicious meals, appetizers and sweets at Christmas time and all its succulent and tasty delicacies, which I try to enjoy, since I do not remember diets, it is difficult for me not to overeat at Christmas time, when the most abundant and tasty cooking is done at home and for the whole family.
To avoid having regrets of conscience that the Christmas season leaves me and all the delicacies and variety of food that I can enjoy, I have been for some time now taking the option to reduce the consumption of flour, carbohydrates, to take good care in combining the foods I eat since October, in this way it does not affect me so much the weight gain.
I always have one or two extra kilos, but it doesn't matter if we are chubby or skinny, the most important thing is to feel good about ourselves, and also to remember that we cannot neglect our physical health and much less our mental health.
Make your family happy, write a poem, send a postcard to that loved one and you will see that with love, that no matter how far away they are, if we want them to be, they will be at our table. Be happy, and God will do the rest.
2 What is the first time you decorated for the holidays? Tell us the traditional start time in your culture and the first time you decorated and why you chose to start early
Reviving traditions is a way to give meaning to Christmas.
Although with less time, because I believe that each passing day goes by so fast, it is up to us adults to make an effort and do for our youngsters what our parents once did for us.
Together we put up the tree, set up the nativity scene, pack the presents, in short, cultivate details that mean everything to a child's world. If we think about the Christmas party, most of us anticipate in thinking about the details, the date I estimate to decorate is in the middle of November, I am excited about the idea of sharing with family and friends.
Christmas is a good time to remember the loved ones, to remember those who have left something in our lives. I have always loved Christmas, that time of togetherness, where the decorations reflect the light that symbolises the birth of Jesus.
As Christmas arrives, I love my home to be lit up with the spirit of Christmas, to be illuminated with the lights of hope, love and peace, and I allow it to be filled with the presence of the memory of those who have departed this plane, but who are and will be in our hearts forever.
I am doing the shopping in parts, so as to avoid as much as possible the last minute rush, because with all these preparations you need to have the money and time, so as not to end up exhausted and stressed with the expenses.
But above all, remember that Christmas is not about consumerism, but about living in harmony with ourselves in order to give peace to those around us.
When I look around me and thank the creator for what I have, for the privilege of having had those who are no longer with me, for the memories, for the shared moments that although they will no longer return, they have left us a legacy of examples and experiences that in this Christmas that is approaching, I can share with those who are still with me, with those who love me and whom I love.
To honour the memory of my mother and the loved ones who departed first, with optimism and joy, in the same way that one day, they did with us as a family.

November? So you're an early starter for setting the Christmas atmosphere. I tend to gift shop throughout the year for my nieces and nephews rather than waiting the to the last month so I don't have to rush.
Merry Christmas in advance @cautiva-30 😁
That's right, I have felt that every day, week, month and year fly by, that's why lately I decide to anticipate expenses and decoration to enjoy it more and as you say, not to rush those days, thank you for your visit and valuable comment,

I'm curious; the reduction of carbs and whatnot-are you planning to make the Christmas delicacies without the carbs? I know they make a Keto flour that I found on Amazon. How will you do it?
Mid November is awesome! The earlies I ever decorated was on 11/11 which also happens to be my B-Day. anyway, it was awesome!
Thanks for sharing my friend and have a lovely day!
If I don't eat I get into a bad mood hahaha. In the days leading up to Christmas, I avoid sugar, cut down on flour and bread and drink lots of water, which helps me a lot. Thanks for bringing up these topics for reflection my friend @elizabethbit, have a great day too,
