LOH #201 // RELIEVING STRESS

(Edited)

I'm not someone who would say that I know so much about stress because, although we all feel the heat of it, I fail to admit that I do and acknowledge it. I despise that anything should put me in that state. Regardless, it's a thing, and it happens with every one of us.

Source

Me, in the past couple of weeks, I have had to do so much in limited time, run errands, study for and write tests, write reviews and projects, meet deadlines, manage my body and health that was declining due to the weather and the weight of everything and all of that. In that very short time, it was a lot. Still haven't gotten over it all, but I only have done the thing(s) that I can only do, which keeps me in check.

Usually, there's no very huge thing that I do to help myself. I've always done the least. The one thing that I could deploy anywhere and at any time that would take little to no resource and wouldn't require so much mental and physical effort.

And that right is taking breaths. I take deep breaths and count from one to ten, making sure to listen as I inhale and exhale. That stuff helps by a large mile. It does the immediate wotk of kicking off that looming anxiety.

To finish it up, I clean. Gosh, I love to clean, and I figured that doing something that I like would get me calm. But even more particularly, cleaning reconfigures my mood and state of mind. It just feels like while I clean, I'm also erasing and taking the stress off me. While at it, i don't play music or anything, i like that whole place pin-drop quiet, save for the not-so-loud sounds from what i am doing(which i almost dont hear). And you know the beautiful thing, although I'm listening to nothing, i dont think of anything at all. Somehow, within this time, my mind goes blank, and no thoughts are running through(cant explakn how that happens). I don't really care how tired I could be, I would clean, and I always certainly get better. Cleaning is therapeutic for me. Once that's done, I take a cold bath, and that's all the relief I would need.

It's all that I rely on to ease every stress and tension whenever I feel that way.
And, so, Ladies of Hive contest #201 that's all the basic stuff i have to do to ease stress.

Thanks for gracing this post.
Greetings!

Interesting, stress is one of the things we humans can run away from, it’s one of the norms of life, i can relate to everything you have just said above, having a lot to within a short time frame can be quite draining and stressful, most times it take effect on our health in one way or another, and even with that we have that one thing that acts as our stress reliever/ eradicator….

Your style is unique, this is literally the first time i am seeing the 10 secs breathe in and out stuff, I’d try it sometime later…

Wow, cleaning, nice nice… that’s a good one, abeg come oh, i need you here lol 😂…

Nice write up chi… 🥰✅👍

We may not be able to run away from stress, but we can manage it, lest it becomes compounded and result to harsh effects.

For the breathing exercise, try it. Don't count out loud o. It's a mindful exercise

Come where? For what???😏

When you're all run down, it's best to take a breather. We can't function well with a weary body anyway. It's also good that diverting your focus onto something else which is doing something you love also helps.

I'm glad you get it. It's just a simple trick that calms the nerves and helps one think clearly.

Breathing is something we all do, but not enough attention is paid to deep breathing. I am guilty of that, lol!

I suspect the orderliness of the result of your cleaning is therapeutic to you. It's something that you don't have to think about while doing. Thank you for sharing and have a lovely day!

You are guilty? Nah, we all are😀
A lot of us don't pay close attention, but we need to. It's for our gain.
Thank you for stopping by here.
Thank you!

Proper breathing. It is self-control. I liked this part very much. And the cleansing of course is a way to calm down and already be exhausted after a long day.💟🌬️☺️
