Whenever hip-hop is mentioned, just know that raw talent is involved. Hip-hop has always been a genre of music characterized by powerful lyrics. That's @verbal-d's remix of Hate It or Love It.
"Hate It or Love It" was released in 2005 by 50 Cent. This track, along with "In Da Club," released in 2003, was one of my favorite rap songs back then, especially since we had a rap and dance competition in our neighborhood every weekend. 50 Cent's rap has always been challenging for me. Seeing @verbal-d's rendition of "Hate It or Love It" truly impressed me with his flow and sharp passion. He took an already iconic song and breathed new life into it. I throw my cap in admiration!
But that's not all. Before I proceed, let me quickly share some comments from his content.
@shiyebxyz: ">Loved your take on this, classic! You brought fresh vibes while keeping the essence of the original. Really enjoyed the flow."
@edwardstobia: ">You made me live those moments of 2010 when I started to listen to this style of music. How well you did it, brother! And you keep the energy intact from start to finish. Your voice well presented and with a forcefulness which makes this style of music sound great. Hats off to you!"
@winanda also dropped a "banga" comment.
There are many more mind-blowing comments, but let's leave them for now and go back to the beginning.
From the start of the remix, it’s clear that a deep understanding of hip-hop’s essence hovers over him. His production skills are smart, and his flow is sharp. I was amazed at how seamlessly he blended his lyrics into the beat without straying from the established harmony. His vocals perfectly align with the rap notes of the track.
One thing I want to highlight is his originality and authenticity in rapping. His unique voice sets his rap apart. You can feel his vibes throughout the performance. There was never a dull moment as the energy resonated and lit up the atmosphere, spreading like electromagnetic waves. Even though there was no physical contact, it deeply affected the soul and spirit of the listeners.
Hip-hop is not just about the beat; great raps tell a story, and you can learn a lot from an artist's emotional connection to the music. That’s one of the skills @verbal-d demonstrated in this remix. I loved everything I watched. @verbal is definitely an artist to watch in the top game.
I'm rating this 10/10. No second thought.
