Making people laugh paid me

The first time I was asked what my hobby was, I didn't know what to say because I didn't understand the meaning. I was just four years old then so pardon me if you've already concluded me as dumb skull. Right where I was standing, my uncle explained it to me. He said hobby is what you like doing when you are not working. I mean it's something you do regularly that gives you pleasure. I was glad he explained it the way my dumb head could relate. I derive pleasure in eating Amala with ewedu, and I think mum knows it's what I derive pleasure from that's why she prepares it almost all the time for me. Therefore, my hobby is eating amala and ewedu. Secondly, you need to see the smile on my face whenever I'm sipping my bobo drink. I wanted to continue my epistle, but he cut me short. "Hey I understand. your hobby is eating". He was right. I love food more than myself. But in real sense, is eating food a hobby? As I come of age with a better developed brain, I began to ask myself that question. But food is just taken to sustain the body and fuel it, like the way we fuel cars to keep it moving. While that is through, we shouldn't forget the sweet taste that comes with it. In fact, some people have forgotten the primitive purpose of food because of the tantalizing taste. Sometimes, when I'm doing something and I cannot find my creative mind, I find myself walking around the house and ends up filling my mouth with something even when I'm not hungry. Most of us can't do without holding a big bag of popcorn when watching a film at the cinema. It makes me wonder whether the film wouldn't bring joy without that box of popcorn on our laps. Hehehehe! The point is we like eating to satisfy our taste bud even when we are not hungry, and this makes me think whether eating can be considered as a hobby or not

I never learned how to entertain people, but I just find myself doing it. friends discovered that I make gatherings lively and get people off their toes with tears dropping from their eyes as they laugh which makes them to always love my company. This lifestyle paid me at a birthday party that I wasn't invited. I just heard and branched. School life was sweet. The guys in my clique dresses up hot on Saturdays and stroll around to areas where things are happening. That was how we located the birthday party

After a while, a young sweet lady announced if anyone can anchor the program before the arrival of the MC. My friends gingered me to do it, so we can all have fun and have the opportunity to be treated specially. Let me give it a shot "I said". We partied till mama calls and it was a hell of a performance I pulled. We were treated like vip's that we didn't merit. The manager took my digits and I was paid #35,000, (an equivalence of $40 now). I couldn't believe my eyes. I never bargained a price and never expected a dime. I took half of the money and gave half to my guys. I made more money from that hotel doing MC. But today, I couldn't do much of it because of time. It's now once in a blue moon like the Luna eclipse

Lest, I forget, I've made money as a clown and bonny. I don't think I need to mention making money from writing. It's obvious that hive has given us a leverage to make money from our skills/hobby. A big thanks to the community at large. Finally, I would have loved to take fishing as one of my hobby, because the taste of fish cannot be compared to anything in my mouth, and I think my tongue can testify to that. But the fear that I could fall into the river and be eaten by fish pulled me back. If I love eating fish, it won't be a good story to die in sharks mouth.
