Cosplay and manga themed events are becoming increasingly popular almost everywhere. My first participation dates back to around 15 years ago at Lucca Comics, which has now become one of the most important events in the world in the comics sector. For a few years now these events have literally multiplied throughout Italy, attracting an ever-increasing multitude of enthusiasts, curious people and exhibitors from all over the territory.

This year I decided to take my son to his first big Comics event, Romics, an event that is organized in Rome, in the city's fair centre. Arriving shortly after the opening, the influx of people was immediately significant: queues at the trains and at the entrance to the fair, and cosplay everywhere attacking the various pavilions, also packed with crowds of enthusiasts.

Although the space allocated to Romics was very large, the amount of people crowding the rooms made me think that perhaps it wasn't large enough. Walking among the stands wasn't easy at all, even just getting close to the Panini Comics exhibitor was truly an undertaking. Too crowded even for my son, who wasn't able to enjoy the day to the fullest. I will try to take him to a similar event in a few years, when he will certainly be older and more comfortable with all that crowd.

Gli eventi a tema cosplay e mondo dei manga sta sempre più spopolando un po' ovunque. La mia prima partecipazione risale a circa 15 anni presso il Lucca Comics, oggi diventato tra gli eventi più importanti al mondo nel settore dei fumetti. Da ormai qualche anno questi eventi si sono letteralmente moltiplicati in tutta Italia, attirando sempre più una moltitudine di appassionati, curiosi ed espositori da tutto il territorio.

Quest' anno ho deciso di portare mio figlio al suo primo grande evento Comics, il Romics, evento che è organizzato a Roma, nel centro fiera della città. Giunti poco dopo l'apertura, l'afflusso di gente è stato subito importante: fila ai treni e all'ingresso della fiera, e cosplay ovunque che assalgono i vari padiglioni, stracolmi anch'essi dalla folla di appassionati.

Nonostante lo spazio destinato al Romics sia stato molto grande, la quantità di persone che affollavano gli ambienti mi hanno fatto pensare che forse non lo era abbastanza. Camminare tra gli stands non è stato affatto semplice, anche solo avvicinarmi all'espositore della Panini Comics è stata davvero un'impresa. Troppa folla anche per mio figlio, che non è riuscito a godersi al meglio la giornata. Proverò a portarlo ad un evento simile tra qualche hanno, quando sarà certamente piu grande e più a suo agio con tutta quella folla.
