Passageway at the Dance Academy/The Ink Well Fiction Prompt #129

Hello friends, I hope you are well, today I want to share with you my participation in The Ink Well Fiction Prompt #129 contest.

Until that day Eliana was convinced that ghosts did not exist, that paranormal things were just stories that people invented to justify their fantasies, she had no idea that she was about to prove the opposite.

"Hello Grandma"

"Hello my child, how did it go at the Lyceum?"

"Very well, Grandma," replied the young girl, smiling.

Why so much joy?" asked Doña Martha.

"Today is my first dance class, grandmother, have you already forgotten?"

"I didn't remember, it's at 4 pm, isn't it; have lunch, then, so you can rest for a while, your grandfather will take you.

Eliana was a cheerful young girl, with white skin, curly hair and green eyes that looked like lanterns, she lived with her grandparents, because her mother had gone to work abroad to give her a better life; since she was a child she wanted to take dance classes, but her mother did not have the financial resources to pay for the Academy.

"Grandma, grandma", shouted Eliana, while going down, quickly down the stairs.

"What 's wrong Eli?"

"Where is it, my Tutu?"

"Stashed in your closet, the stockings are there too."

"Thank you grandma, I love you!".

The clock in the living room, marked just 2 pm, already Eliana was ready, waiting for her grandfather. She was pacing back and forth, throbbing her fingers, impatiently looking towards the door.

"Eli, it's still early."

"I don't want to be late, Grandma."

"You'll be on time, don't be impatient, I'll fix you a snack, while your grandfather arrives."
Martha went to the kitchen, brought cookies and juice, Eliana barely tasted the juice and ate a piece of cookie, she was very anxious.

After 3 o'clock, Don Pedro arrived.

"Are you ready for your dance classes?".

"For a long time now," answered Doña Martha," letting out a half-smile.

Eliana gathered her things and they went to the Dance Academy.

They arrived a few minutes before their class time. Don Pedro accompanied her inside, said goodbye to her and told her at 6 o'clock, I'll come to pick you up.

The young woman sat down to wait for her class time, then she heard her name being called; it was Daniela, a former classmate; She went to greet her, She was very happy to find her there, and what she liked the most was that she was in her own dance class.
"Girls, enter the 4 o'clock shift," said a very thin lady.

Little by little they entered the room, it was very spacious, it was surrounded by mirrors, on all 4 sides; When they were all inside, the lady closed the door.

"I introduce myself, I am Patty Monzerrat and I will be your dance instructor, please state your name".

The 8 girls, who were there, introduced themselves one by one; Then Miss Patty, indicated to them which were the rules that they had to fulfill, then with a kind voice, she said, "Let's begin".

The girls took their places in front of the wooden bar, Eliana took her place near her friend Daniela.

Everything was going very well, until the young girl noticed something strange in the mirror.

"Daniela, they are watching us through the mirror."

"Why do you say that?"

"I saw a pair of eyes, staring at us"

"It must be, your imagination"

When the class ended, only Eliana and Daniela were left in the room.

Eliana, felt that they were watching her and saw again, in the mirror, certainly someone was watching her, she stared, and there they were.

She told her friend, who could also see them, the young woman approached the mirror, when they touched it, her hand did not stop, but went through it, they quickly withdrew their hand.

"Did you feel that?" asked Daniela.

"Yes."

"Let's get out of this place!"

Eliana did not pay attention, she got closer to the mirror, a bony hand, with long claws, grabbed her with force and took her away, Daniela when she saw this, tried to run away, but she was also dragged towards the mirror.

At first glance, they were in a room, there was nothing strange, the girls held hands to see how they could get out of that place, the mirror was gone, there were only walls, no doors or windows.

Suddenly, a black smoke appeared, in front of them, when it dissipated, there was a big man, all dressed in black, with bloody eyes and big fangs.

That terrifying scene disturbed the young women, who screamed at the same time; they tried to run, but their feet were stuck to the ground.

"Do not try to run away, you, my new princesses, will be and will live here, for all eternity", said that terrifying man.

He immediately approached Eliana, with his long and sharp fingers, he touched the face of the young girl, whose heart wanted to come out of her chest; The young girl began to scream, then the man pressed her mouth, suffocating her voice.

The young woman gave up and stopped screaming, Daniela only watched that terrifying scene, the man removed his hand from the girl's mouth, then he grabbed her arms and approached her neck, his fangs grew twice as long, but when he was about to bite her, he realized that the young woman had a chain around her neck.

He tried to remove it, but when he pulled it, an amulet hanging from the chain was exposed. When he saw it, the man took the form of a bat and fled from that place.

The young women's feet came off the ground, they did not understand what happened, but they did not want to find out either, they just wanted to get out of there, they searched the wall for the passage, they returned to the dance room.

Their relatives were waiting outside for them, they decided not to tell anything, because they would not believe them, they just left and without giving explanations, they did not return to the Dance Academy.

Now Eliana is convinced that the paranormal exists.
