Hive Community Callout for Onboarding and CBRS Contribution

CBRS AROUND THE WORLD!

Over the last couple of months, we have been busy posting pictures with Hive #Onboarding stickers across The Netherlands, placing them next to a popular or famous place. This sticker is an invitation to join Hive by scanning a QR code. Since stickering in the Netherlands is seen as vandalism, we never leave our stickers behind @guiltyparties unless it is allowed 😁. This project is not about people seeing the sticker in that area but finding the pictures you shared online when searching for that place.

Onboarding Idea

Hive articles are pretty difficult to find on Google unless you search for the exact title. But what about images? To find out if images had a better chance then text, we decided to start using @liketu. After a couple of posts, we've seen some of our images reach the top of the search results on Google.

Just before posting your image on #Liketu you can also tag the area using @pinmapple MAP. All you have to do is go to https://www.pinmapple.com/, find your location on the map, press on the button "Get Code" and then press the location on the map. Then describe your location, copy the Short Code and add that code at the end of your post.

To add a little extra, we started using Google #Contributions and adding the same images with CBRS stickers, inviting others to join Hive. It is not a huge success, but people do see it.

What if ten Hivians posted these images in our area? Or what about a hundred? The more of us advertise Hive using Google Contributions, the better chance we have of onboarding new members.

We love bringing more people to Hive and, at the same time, sharing the beautiful and worth visiting locations for native Hivians to find on #Pinmapple.

So now you have the A6 sticker or #flyer template. You can take pictures locally next to a popular or famous place, building, or even a famous person. Don't forget to add the CBRS sticker or flyer so it is clearly visible in the photo.

Tag your picture with #CBRSonboarding so we can find it on Hive. Next week we are going to start a new CBRS contest and all your pictures with CBRS sticker will have a chance to win prizes. Contest information will be disclosed soon.

CBRS HIVE Distribution
