As a student of the federal university of agriculture Abeokuta FUNAAB once I got to school as a guy who wanted to make some extra money for my self whit the skill I have learnt which is event decoration I set out on a journey of finding decoration companies in the city of Abeokuta whome I could affiliate my self with.

Before I get in to the adventure what you need to know

This quest made me search for event planner on both Instagram and Facebook and I found some name and as a smart guy I followed some of their pages and sent them messages unfortunately no replies I didn't give up though I kept searching and I meet this lady who happens to have graduated from my school Darmieghold events.

We connected quite well and then boom the first job with her was a decoration ar her church she called on that faithful morning and then gave me the description to the location but as a newbie it was difficult to locate so I was late and she had left by the time I arrived but I meet two of her workers Mr Michael and Mr Bayou then we they gave me the task of bringing a design for the stage which was tasking but we pulled through.

After that job I sent her a message telling her how greatful I was and how hospitable her workers were and that gave me yet another previlage and sh soon called me for another job.

During the second job with her she wasn't available cos she had some other business to attend to but I made friends with some of the staffs and we connected quite well that's how I meant Mr Samson who was a staff with Darmieghold catering services we exchanged contacts and got along really well.

THE ADVENTURE

Mr Samson called me after my second semester exams as said his friend would be getting married sometime in February of this year and he wanted me to help out with the decoration which I obliged to and then we got planning

But unfortunately that was the period in which the naira scarsity which hit my nation as a result of the fact the a new naira was going to be introduced took place.

The naira scarsity made it difficult to get cash and then I got a call on the 16th of February from my friend Mr Samson telling me that he has being unable to get cash but was able to transact to get gasoline in his bike and for a moment I was wondering and I asked do you mean we're going to Lagos from Abeokuta on bike and his reply was affermative and then he reminded me how he had told me of one of such journeys to Lagos on bike to visit his sister.

Another reason for his decision was that there was a road blockage by angery protester's who couldn't access their funds around Sungo Ota just before Lagos and the groom to be who had left from Abeokuta for Lagos meet with this road block and had to take a bike to his destination.

For this reason I decided it was ok and on the 17th of February I meet with mr Samson at a location where we agreed to take off from and then we hit the roads it took about three hours to a get to our destination and the journey was indeed an adventure having to ride on the express with trucks and vehicle got scarry at some point but we arrived Lagos in one piece.

We got in to Lagos well on time for the event decoration which we did and on the morning of the event since we made use of tents the decoration went smoothly we finished in time before the couple's arrived and then went to freshen up and I had some fun at the party as the DJ trilled the audience to danceable tunes.
