They stand motionless in squares, streets or gardens. The statues and busts are human representations of myths or legends. Made of stone or bronze, they are placed on pedestals and men pass by with the indifference of daily routine. Do they see us?

Time has given them their patina and decay. Statuary has the status of public art, appreciated by some and indifferent to others. I particularly choose them as a photographic motif, trying a new reading of these tiredly seen public objects.
