That's a very unusual looking plant... quite unlike anything I have seen before. I went and looked at some descriptions, and understand better that it is not native to Europe, but all the way from Australia.
It's funny how plants that come from other parts of the world sometimes look like they could be from another planet!

I had not thought about it but you are right that this plant seems to be from another world!
I read that in that park and especially in the garden, they have planted plants from all over the world, no wonder what you say that this is from Australia.
