Finances and Humanity 💰| LOH #169 Contest Week.
I am very very happy to be able to participate in the #169 edition of Ladies Of Hive, in this opportunity with themes that i really love and that i have been practicing these last years in many different ways.
For this week:
1️⃣ I annually work on my home budget every January and my recent walk through of a major shopping center reminds me how our financial goals can get undermined by the temptation to spend. What are your strategies and tactics to stay on track?

2️⃣ Charitable giving is a normal part of my budget. It is not always cash donations but it can be other resources like your time and talents as well. Name your favorite Charity and what makes it special to you?

Like every woman I'm always tempted to spend on things i BELIEVE i need but when i go shopping, i ask myself **Will I really use this? What could i buy with the money i'll spend here? What benefits will i get from getting this product? Yes, I'm picky. So by watching a lot of videos on tiktok and pooling ideas i came up with a savings plan with my partner.
We divide the expenses in percentages(%) depending on each salary so to be fair. first FIXED EXPENSES: food purchases, rent payment, phone rent, Insurance, have the highest percentage being the most obvious expense, then would come the percentage of the SAVINGS that OBVIOUSLY IS NOT TOUCHED. In low percentages we place a part of Outings and fun in case we want to go somewhere to eat, a museum, a park. And finally the percentage(%) of our Personal Expenses: everyone is responsible for that part of the money, we can spend it or simply save it just for another occasion, or whatever we want.

2️⃣ If we're talking about charities, I'm not much for giving directly through bank transactions or cash, but if you remember from my post on My first time shopping second-hand clothes, i talked about how through the reuse of textile they help both the ecosystem and improve the lives of developing communities and of course generate green jobs.(Source)
This is why I am a fan of this type of second-hand shopping, they are a good option to contribute both with the opportunity and new life to the textile as well as for those works and aids to developing countries and communities in need.
